When you look at ISU's center add 2" height. Odiakoso(sp) was recruited by Jans. He was so poor as a freshman they thought they had made a mistake.

Marshall said the league had confirmed that CU had recieved 7 points they should not have in their game with us. He said that you can't do anything about it during a game. You can only do it afterwards.

I don't buy any conspiracy theory, but I do think there are a lot of crappy refs.

And this, plus of course the responses to the stream-of-consciousness tangent, is how a thread gets to be 114 pages long. I wonder how many pages and posts actually relate to Orukpe?

            • The game is scheduled to start at 7:00. Moberly is already in Poplar Bluff, so it should be a go. There's a Ladies game prior, so they may be a little late getting underway.

Video of the game should be available here: http://trcc.edu/videoservices.php

Thanks Marcus. Now that I have a computer that'll let me do such things I'd like to check him out again.

                • Is it just me or does it seem like Nigerian players don't really develop until the 3rd year in?

Well, if I remember correctly, it only took two for Olajuwon -- but he was kind of a special case, too.

                    • 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocked shots. Fouled out in just 19 minutes. Not a bad come back game.

I watched this one and it was my first time seeing him in action. Definately an athlete as everyone is aware. His offense of course needs alot of work. He doesn't work for position in the post...well at all really. He kind of looks lost. Some of that may be on the coach though seeing how everything runs through Carter.

I was impressed with his defense mainly because he had the job of guarding one of the best players on the court and really did a pretty good job. That opposing player (Kerron Johnson) really couldn't get any good looks at the basket when EO was in the game. A couple of the blocks that EO had were against Johnson as well which I am sure bothered him. EO just needs to learn some defensive positioning and when to go for the block and when not to which will help cut down on the fouls.

Overall, I'm happy with what I saw. As I said in the game thread, if he can come in and give even 10 mins of defense and rebounding next year when needed that will be huge for this team. Stutz, Durley and Blair will be just fine picking up the offense in the post.

Oh and EO got alot of applause after he fouled out. He deserved it seeing how he kept Johnson from going off on them.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

I just checked. They started at 7. It's halftime with Three Rivers leading 27-20.

                            • How did the game end up? And what stats did Orukpe have in this game?

TRCC really needs to have a separate section for sports on their site, especially Basketball. I would think that Coach Bess would insist on this!!!
