Circumstances can vary from one game to the next, of course -- injuries, illness, foul trouble, need to ensure a win, unavailability of a player (e.g., Frankamp before 12/12) -- but I'd be surprised if any of WSU's seniors plays more than 30 minutes too often in any SINGLE game this coming season -- and if the team stays healthy, I'd be shocked if anyone averages 30.

I think that we will have enough talent for Coach to play 10-11 players. Two (you know who the two will be) will play 25 minutes or so (give or take), six will play 20 minutes or (give or take), and two or three will play 5-10 minutes (give or take).

Do you guys think coach will play Bush much during the regular season??? In years past...coach seemed to save the "scouting report" or lack there of hidden for the NCAA tourney regarding his "off the bench" 6'10" guys.

I think coach will play the guy that is the best match-up and gives us the best chance to win. Shaq, Bush, and Rauno are very different players and I expect that each will get 20 minutes in some games and next to none in others. Depending on how the PFs fare, Anton and Eric could be in that mix as well.

Our 5's always get in foul trouble. I think that we will play 3 in every game with some games requiring major minutes from all three. The only question that I don't know is whether the three 5's will be Morris, Nurger, and Bush or two of those three players and Grady. If Grady plays major minutes at the 4, then Shaq, Bush, and Nurger will play too.

Yep! A lot depends on Rashard, Zach, and Markis as well. If Rashard and Markis are noticeably out playing Bush and Rauno then Anton might move to center to open up PT for Markis, or Zach might play 2 guard so that Markis can spend some time at the 3. Conversely if Shamet comes on like gang-busters and Conner is indispensable, Evan or Zach may play some PF and push Anton to the 5 or squeeze Rashard out of the rotation and Markis to the deep bench.

Our now sophomore class showed so much promise as freshman, but little in the way of actual statistical production. These guys could all blossom (and if they do, WATCH OUT), or fade in year two.

With this incoming recruiting class, we are in for one hell of a ride!

Okay, this is a stretch because it's not technically good news regarding the Shockers, but...I really dig this line which to me, does indicate some real media love:
