Henry was a 6'6", 210 lb. SG who started every game at KU as a Fr, hit 42% of his 3's, holds the KU record for most points scored by a Fr in their first game (26), scored 31 in a game to become the first KU Fr to score more than 30 since Paul Pierce.

I'm not seeing how he's exactly what Conner is, but Conner isn't. The only similarity I can see between the 2 is that they both left KU after their Fr years. Frankamp to WSU, and Henry to Memphis (the Grizzlies - not the Tigers).
it's about character. You have to remember Xavier and his dad to really "get" that post

    • Within the past several days, I've read about a player transferring from Marquette to Iowa State (and another Marquette player who transferred last year, Jameel McKay, becoming eligible at Iowa State). A guy who was a reserve at Duke just made his debut at Florida after transferring last year. None of those cases involves a step down in the basketball hierarchy. Similarly, Semi Ojeleye from Duke is considering Wisconsin, and the Glorious Flagship itself reportedly expressed interest that wasn't reciprocated. I's unlikely that Wisconsin considers itself Duke's little brother, and it's hard to imagine the Lawrence crowd thinking of themselves as being a step down from anywhere this side of heaven.

So why all the smack talk, or dithering (as the case may be) about Frankamp moving from lofty Mt. Oread to WSU? If you look at the last few seasons and especially the trends in the immediate past of the two programs under The Rug and Marshall, this is clearly not a step down. I realize there's a lot of fan ego involved here -- inflated beaks and underconfident shocks in particular -- but good grief. If anything, this is just a lateral move to a place with a better fit. Time to grow up and move on.

          • I've talked to a few people and they weren't fans of Conner and his dad not because Conner is transferring from KU, but more along the lines of stuff that happened in City League games like this one - http://www.varsitykansas.com/2013/02...ty-league.html His past actions may be what causes any negativity toward him more than the fact he played at KU. Personally I think most HS kids do dumb things at one time or another, so I'll be cheering him on as a Shocker, but I can see where some may not.

            • I didn't know he was that fiery, I like it.

He might be able to play angry.

Graduate early, to avoid sitting out a year!

                      • Ellis is supposed to be a good student, why not graduate early? Of course, the Shocks may need to take an advance against the following year's scholarship count...

                        • The way a lot KU fans treat Perry, I wouldn't blame him. Their treatment saddens and disgusts me.

When you think about it, I wonder why the scholarship limit isn't 15, with 3 scholarships per position?

This is one of the rule changes that the power five are asking for.
