I doubt this season will be a down year. I don't think HCPM does either. He will do better than last year and will make the Shocks watchable again. He may not get to the HCGM level next year but we will be better than last year regardless of who he recruits.

He's gonna have to hit some home runs in these last 5 to even have a remote possibility of winning 18 games.

He's not giving us a discount on what we are paying him year one so I don't expect a discount on results. I realize we have him for at least 3 years. I'm giving him a chance, otherwise I wouldn't have just renewed season tickets. Just stating that he's not off to a good start recruiting and we haven't been linked to any one that would change that (Abmas aside but that seems to be out of the question). I'm not going in with blind optimism that he's gonna find the next 5 Ron Bakers with all these diamonds in the rough.

The Memphis metro is twice as large as the Wichita metro, and it is 50% black compared to 7% black.

Some might call those differences relevant in the context of college basketball recruiting.

I'll give you that from high school recruiting but from my memory, most of Memphis prized portal recruits were not from the city. I'll look that up later.

Also not like it matters how big the Wichita metro is..
When was the last time we landed a prime Wichita recruit. We should own the recruits that come from here but that's never happened.

I do find it interesting TE is following Collins on Twitter. That would seem like a random follow if there was no contact between Collins and WSU.

Big weekend. Softball trying for a regional and senior day for the best player in the history of the program, baseball with the biggest home series in a decade, new women's basketball coach living the dream and multiple mbb visits for NHCPM to sell and close.

Let things play out before you make any rash judgements. Rather be patient and add guys we really like than just take guys for the sake of filling out a roster, only to have a guy you like better become available after your rosters full.

I can't see how anyone could make a prediction either way, we still don't have a full roster.

TE flows SN I believe. based on a hint from lax it has brought up a couple of names in Forsythe and Collins. Forsythe has been linked to WSU and Collins played on the same team as Cortez, who is already signed with WSU. Someone said they were friends as well. Cortez signed the same day that Collins entered the portal.
All of this could mean nothing, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that Cortez, not WSU, have been talking to Collins.
If nothing else it gives us something to hope for.
