There have been a LOT of bubble team losses ... some to really bad teams since the last time we played. It's been a half blessing in disguise.
Ideally five more and wipe the uncertainty out completely.

I heard on a game last night that Joe Lunardi has Wichita State being in the tournament as a place holder for the winner of the American Conference tournament. We still might have work to do to make it as an at-large bid. i think we are good enough, but I’m not on the committee. I think if we get to the title game and not win, it will be hard To keep WSU out, IMO.

Palm appears to really be looking at the WHOLE resume, which is the way it should be done ... but will the committee do that? As i've said before, they probably will ... for some teams.

Lunardi has us as a 12-seed (AQ), which would be roughly equivalent to the first four out in terms of resume. That is at least higher than where he has SMU and Memphis (next four out).
As someone already mentioned, Bracket Matrix has us in 108 of 134 brackets, also as a 12 seed but in the spot of an at-large (2nd to last one in). If we win tonight, and given the losses of Boise St. and Xavier, I wouldn't be surprised to see WSU become the top 12 seed by Friday. Beat USF Saturday, they could jump to an 11 seed in the Matrix by Monday, also jumping over Drake. I don't see Drake avoiding an elimination loss in Arch Madness unless one of their injured starters returns.

Palms latest on the bubble.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...ment-hopefuls/Wichita St. at Tulane, 6 p.m. (ESPN+) -- The first-place Shockers are in the bracket as an automatic qualifier for now, but both first place and in the bracket would disappear with a loss to Tulane. There may be games Wichita State can afford to lose, but this is certainly not one of them.

Winner: Wichita State takes care of business
Wichita State entered the night as a projected No. 10 seed in the NCAA Tournament, with bracketology expert Jerry Palm noting that their place in the bracket "would disappear with a loss to Tulane." Well, the Shockers avoided disaster, and there's something to be said for that at this time of year. The night was particularly enjoyable for Trey Wade, who entered averaging just 5.8 points for the Shockers but poured in a career-high 23 on 9-of-12 shooting. Wichita State hit 13-of-31 shots from 3-point range in the game, and will be a serious threat in the postseason if it can continue to shoot the ball like that.

Man, I hope Coach Brown is reading Shockernet this morning...

NET moved from 66 to 62 this morning.
Those canceled games against SMU are a killer... If WSU could have swept those and looked good doing so, I think the NET could have gotten into the low-50s.
As it is, this proves out-preforming your expectations does move the needle a bit. We were 4-5 point favorites at Tulane. Won by 8, and played OK.
Pay attention to the spreads and if we cover, that seems like a pretty good indication of how Wichita State's NET will move after the contest is decided.
