And I am not disrespecting anyone. I was just bothered by Royal's original post about it. Didn't realize his beef was about the plural of Koch brothers, and not just Charles. My statement still stands, Koch pays our coach. People wanna get into a whine fest about it but his names on the building and it's in Gregg's Wallet. Fact. My orignal post in this section was to ask why Royal and apparently many others get rude and defensive about Charles paying our coach?

It is true, we all know, Koch is paying our coach. It's fact. OUr athletic department can't support it's endeavors without help from Koch to pay for our HC.
It is certainly implied in your post that he "did it all"“Losers Average Losers.” ― Paul Tudor Jones

If the complaint is simply that it is unfair to have a guy like him in your corner, then fine. That's probably true. But it always seems like there is more underneath, like "not only are we mad that you have him, we are also disgusted with you for being in bed with THAT GUY."
At that point, I just start rolling my eyes. He seems like a decent man to me. Maybe I'm missing something.

Hell, I guess I pay HCGM's salary too. I bet the AD can't support its endeavors without help from me to pay for our HC. You're welcome."It's amazing to watch Ron slide into that open area, Fred will find him and it's straight cash homie."--HCGM

I am sorry you guys fail to understand me. My original post does leave you wondering if I meant if not for Koch and his pocket WSU couldn't be what it wants to be. A lot of stupidity has gone into pulling out details like what is it money, was it his influence, how much he contributed, did his family contribute, did he even give at all, was he leading the meetings. You guys can try to punk me all you want. Koch payed to help with the Stadium. He allegedly has meeting with Gregg every year, and lead (and possibly paid some) fund raising efforts. Maybe it was unfair to say without Charles, WSU can't support it's goals, specifically because we don't know how much. So I am sorry If I have gone off course to debate the senseless facts. Because either way you want to go, Charles has his handprint and wallet all over this basketball program.
Royal's original post was intriguing. Mostly because there is a little truth the the notion that WSU was so ahead of the MVC because of Charles' money and influence. Now I think the guy was absolutely wrong about many things but I wanted to consider the notion as Charles does in fact boost for our program. Whether or not Charles' "enter here how much he gave to boost Gregg's salary" dominated the money given to support his raise, is unknown. So the guy frm the MVC who claims that it's "unlimited" (or just a LOTTTTT), is no better off than anyone on here guessing, including myself.

You can backhandedly backtrack all you want, but you're still incorrect. Because you and others completely irrationally marginalize the contribution potential of the rest of the WSU community. In fact, in most instances, this is brought up as a means to marginalize that group. It's a way to say "well, they don't really have a higher quantity of fans more invested in their program than us, they just have this one super rich guy."
It devalues the community. It devalues the 6000 people that showed up in January of 1996 to watch WSU get owned by mediocre Valley teams. It devalues the many many people, groups and companies that bought in to things like the Roundhouse Renaissance on little more than a hope and a prayer. It devalues that WSU fans match or out-travel nearly anyone in the country to places like Maui and the Bahamas and Portland and Atlanta. And by almost everyone who employs the argument, it is intended to carry those implications because it makes them feel better about why WSU is being as successful as they are.

You need to STFU - and I mean NOW! and try to comprehend how these here message boards on the Internet work. We're not here to educfate you. Your constant begging for links, proof, verification of every single thing that gets posted is lame and needs to stop.
Do what the rest of us did. Take some time. Do some digging. Some posters here are very kn0owledgable about the inner workings of athletics at WSU. We tend to trust that they give us accurate info when that's prudent, and give us nothing when that is appropriate.
Figure out who those posters are. Figure out who just blows smoke up other people's butts. You're the leader in that category right now.
If this board isn't to your liking - and it appears it is not - then I'd recommend you visit another WSU fan board. There's a guy over there who'd be glad to help you out. His name is ColdBlooded. You can find him here:

Looks like Bill Self and some of the other KU Coaches have better tax advisors than 3G and Bruce Weber.
Bill Self’s taxes — or more specifically, the lack of taxes he pays — are drawing attention after a report highlighted that the Kansas University men’s basketball coach is legally avoiding state taxes on about 90 percent of his annual earnings. A report by public radio station KCUR noted that Self for years has had […]
Of course, that little failed experiment has just been rescinded although the Rug (an many like others probably including Charles Koch) did get a windfall for 5 years at the expense of the average taxpayer.
