That was a screen! EO absolutely flattened a guy, then made the roll to the basket, got the pass, took 6 steps and missed the shot. He won't be credited for the miss. The traveling was first. Final score 120 - 82.
EO has an offensive game that seems to extend to his wrists on the rim. Defensively he's a beast. He absolutely shut down the low paint. This isn't against D1 post players, but it's a good sign.
His game certainly isn't up to the hype that he's gotten over the last 2 years, but I'd a lot sooner have him playing for WSU than against WSU. If I were watching him tonight knowing WSU had to play against him the next 3 years, I would not like what I saw.
If you look at points scored and points disallowed, I'd put EO at plus 10+ tonight. What he shut down more than made up for his lack of scoring himself.
He runs the floor as advertised. He looks like a 6' guy running down the court. And there was a lot of running up and down the court in this game.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

All fair points Aargh, but if I may add one point:
That was in no way, shape or form a D1 game. That was an up and down juco game, not designed for 7' post player, no matter how mobile he might be.
I have certainly been guilty, as it were, of fanning this thread, but I came away tonight perhaps even more encouraged.
I know EO has limited offensive skills. I don't care! He'll get better, but it is his d that I love. He is going to be a beast, pure and simple.Comment
