So we're sure it's in Miami? I find NEO in both Miami and Grove and want to be sure where they're playing. MapQuest also puts it at about 4 hours from here. Not sure how accurate that is. I can get to Chanute in a little under 2 I believe.

There is a VERY nice casino called Downstream Casino not too far from there. It only takes about 3 hours to get there and that is going the speed limit. So I am sure you can get there under 4...especially if you push the speed a little ;).

Lots of casino's around Miami. I can think of around 6 or 7. I'll be stopping at the High Winds Casino on the east side of Miami before game time. :good:

Speaking of game time, don't forget the men's game starts at 6pm.

Good luck with the webcast. They have traditionally had some issues, especially early in the season. It does help that it's a home game though. Hopefully they have done a walkthrough with the tech stuff......

I won't be at the game but I'll get an objective eyewitness report late this evening and pass along my findings.....

I have lodged and played at the Downstream Casino.

I am sure it is the finest in the area.

The rooms are knock-outs. The weekday rate is $85. I imagine the weekend rate is about $110-$115.

I am usually price sensitive about hotel rates, but this location is worth more to me.

The entrance drive is in Missouri. The parking lot is in Kansas. The casino and hotel is in Oklahoma.

The property opened in July 2007 or 2008. I don't remember for sure.

I did not eat at the white table cloth restaurant, but I did eat at the buffet restaurant. The buffet is excellent.

Your wife will love the property.

It is a line from "Dave" when an elderly Hispanic lady is crying because she cannot find work. Around the office "si, diabetico" was used to answer in the affirm for roughly 7-10 years.

Technically we did sign him once; realistically we still have to sign him again… hopefully next Wednesday. He’s 7’ with a Cessna sized wing span and runs like a deer and jumps like a kangaroo… I trust those who have watched him in a live scrimmage. Yes, he may be extremely raw offensively and lack overall basketball skills at this point in his career.

Lets face it… many of us have had some fun creating a legend that may or may not ever live up to the hype. The majority of us realize that EO isn’t likely going to be a ‘franchise type player’ and lead us to the promise land; however we sure could use a shot blocker/intimidator and a ‘big body’ to make our inside guys collectively better.

Worst case scenario, we’ll look better in airports and during warm ups. :good: :good:

Wushock, have a little fun and enjoy the ride. I’ve witnessed my fair share of WSU basketball for nearly a half century and this is about as excited as I’ve ever been. Have some faith… Shocker basketball is on the rise.
