  • The percent of analysts picking KU as the national champion is comical. I will be surprised if they make the S16 let alone F4.

This. I just don't understand how they can underperform in the tourney nearly every year, and continue to be picked to win it all. At some point you'd think the people choosing them over and over would get tired of looking foolish.

When everyone around you is just as foolish there is no one to call you on being foolish.

How's that big bad Big East working out for Creighton so far?
WSU still has the spotlight. Creighton is an afterthought.
          Deuces Valley.
          ... No really, deuces.

            • WSU is perfectly capable of snagging high level recruits and being nationally relevant every year, despite the MVC.
WSU fans would love to see WSU play in a conference with some actual competition and TV revenue.
Both are true. This isn't that hard.

If, when asked to pick a number between 1 and 64, you pick the same number each time, you may eventually get it right! At least that's why I keep playing the lottery: wait, do I look foolish? ;-)

                • How much of KU's roster was a part of their past tourney failures? Silly to use Bucknell, Bradley, or UNI against the current roster.

                  • Our experts were mixed before the season. Some liked Kansas. Others liked North Carolina. A few picked Maryland or Michigan State. Where do they stand now? Well, they definitely like Buddy Hield.

Maybe we all need to reconsider our stance on Jeff *******...

A few others still picking the Shox as well.

All but two of them if you consider last year underperforming, which again, according to their seed, it was.

                      • Why the heck not? I think this year is going to be won by a team w/ lots upper class experience.

Is it not basically the same roster as two years ago when they couldn't get past Stanford? Except they don't have NBA Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins. We're not talking UNI, Bucknell, and Bradley here.

Does it at some point come down to coaching, what with their obvious talent advantages every year?

I think the media is blinded by the name on the jersey, the conference affiliation, and the stars next to their names on the recruiting websites. What that all amounts to, I don't know.
