Surely, we have learned through the ages that the Shockers can not leave anything up to the rankings/selection committees?

To even consider that the majority or even some of these jerk offs who make these decisions are fair minded and will look deeply into why little ol' Wichita State lost a game or a stretch of games is like believing in the Tooth Fairy.

We have clearly seen over the last several years how they have manipulated the positioning in the NCAA brackets. Very likely based on past experience, they will try and screw us once again.

Like Cdizzle indicated, leave nothing to chance and overcome whatever obstacle(s) they throw at us.

And personally, I favor thumbing our noses at them with each victory on our road to winning The National Championship.

I'd say that if they did any manipulating last year, 60, they did the Shocks a favor by pairing them potentially with the Chickenhawks. I personally was quite happy with that #7, which postponed the game with ND for another round and kept WSU away from Kentucky for as long as possible. They can send that kind of "manipulation" this way any time they want as far as I'm concerned.
