I was "unsurprised" by his response to the stats/analytics question. He is definitely an old school coach that goes by feel.

He did say the subscribe to a service that they use for tendencies, shots off dribble, locations, etc. I was surprised, however, to hear he didn't know about SportVu. That system is really cool. http://www.stats.com/sportvu/basketball.asp

Yep. That's what I was saying from the the beginning. If you switch jerseys and run the EXACT same play, our fans (myself included) would have pissed if a foul was called.

But that's not what happened, so who cares? Does anyone here really want to put themselves in the shoes of a dirty redturd fan. We are talking about sports here, not diplomacy. No one needs to walk a mile in someone else's shoes.

That was Daishon Knight. I thought he was being sincere and it was a class move. He did it in a pretty subtle manner so he wasn't really trying to bring any attention to himself. I think 3G said that at one point Daishon really wanted to be a Shocker but we just did not have a place for him at that time.

I did not think he was really set and I do think he gave Ron a little extra shot with his shoulder. Watching the replay I thought he moved into Ron but it was certainly not an obvious illegal screen especially in real time. 3G did not seem to be too concerned about it. The only payback I am really interested in is on the scoreboard. We got that including a couple of drives and scores by Ron after the collision where he challenged Ransom and won.

Illinois State has good talent and are certainly capable of challenging the Shocks. Considering how much we ***** and moan about the Valley being so bad I would think we would be happy somebody is trying to compete with the Shocks. Now whether Muller is a good enough coach to deliver with the talent he has assembled remains to be seen.

I do not understand this statement. Who has said they are unhappy that somebody is trying to compete with the Shocks?

I do not think the screen was really the issue, the player running to the sideline yelling "I got him, I got him" and their head coach giving the player a high five for play when the player was still laying on the floor was what I saw as the problem. To me, that action seemed to indicate that he was aiming to hurt Baker and just justified to me that this is a classless team lead by a classless coach. I also previously thought highly of the Redbird program but since Coach Muller took over it has gone to the most classless team in the MVC. I would be embarrassed if HCGM and the Shockers acted in this manner.

Is there video of this action at the bench?

Let's just say that I'm not ready to fully believe that a lifelong Red Sox fan, who happens to get paid around $1.7m per year to win athletic contests, known for doing more with less outside of a power conference, isn't familiar with advanced stats/analytics.

He is not a bad guy. He is uber competitive and tends to say what's on his mind which rubs some people the wrong way. I've heard people say they didn't like him as well but he is actually a very engaging person. My dad knows him through a casual connection and just loves him and his family. And believe me, we are not one of the "beautiful" families in Wichita so he would have absolutely no reason to be disingenuous. Take that for what it's worth.

I for one appreciate coach's surliness. It probably helps us keep him longer.

Yes, that should get things off to a good start.

If, as another poster said, Marshall lurks on social media, reads everything said about his team, and takes things personally, therein lies the problem. Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep because they don't pay any attention to the opinions of sheep. You can't get bothered by that which you don't know.

With the success he's achieved as a coach generally and as the builder of an elite program at WSU in particular, Marshall could make his good life even better by not spending his time reading Sheep-opinions.com and related sites. Surely he has other ways to occupy himself. If nothing else, his wife is kind of a babe, especially for her age -- maybe she could distract him from the social media? Woo-hoo.

To say that fans need to correctly word their questions so the response is more in line is crap. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to just answer the questions along those lines, recognizing that often the fans may not be asking the questions in the proper way.
I'm going to take a different tact on here and support our coach. I don't care what he says on a radio show. If you don't like honesty or how he answers questions on a radio program, turn it off and don't listen. We have the best coach in America. We have had a great team for the past 5 years, we've become a Top 10 program, we've been to the F4, we've been a #1 Seed to the NCAA Tournament, we're ranked in the Top 10 and Top 20 this entire year, we graduate our players, our kids are not arrested, our players have great character, etc. What Gregg says on a radio show to other wanna be coaches is the least of my worries and I hope he stays for a long time.

I've never heard anyone who knows his family ever speak ill of Gregg. His kids nice kids who are polite to everyone, Gregg takes time to talk to others in the public, and he is a fine person. I think that everyone on here who expects perfection needs to loosen up a little.
