As many doubters as there are (in the interest of full disclosure, I was one) I've been convinced. Just from everything the coaches and other players have said, along with people that have seen scrimmages, I can't wait to see him on the floor.

This is the part that I liked the best. It sounds to me like he is a little miffed by the no-defense chatter. I look for him to be surprisingly good once he gets to hit the floor as a Shocker. I feel strongly that Conner wants to be really good and a complete player. Therefore, I'm confident that he will be a really good Shocker basketball player.Comment

I suspect any pressure will be self imposed. Outside of a few vocal detractors on SN I believe 99%+ of the faithful in CKA will recognize him as a Shocker and support him thusly. Agreed, but you have a kid who knows his first impression after becoming a Shocker (an underage DUI) was not a great one and I think he will no doubt have some self-imposed pressure to do well. That can cut either way. Causing him to be super-focused and sharp or causing him to be a little tight and maybe off a little.
