Yes, all things being equal, totally get that. But, speaking of which, if he has to sit out a year, does this make him a 2016 scholie guy or 2015? Anybody know?

He can show us his lack of ego and humility by walking on like Baker and earning a scholarship. That sounds fair.

I completely agree. Although, I also think it's a little weird for us to harp on his "ego" problems or his "entitlement" etc. Here we are, doing the same thing by not welcoming him if he wants to come here. If he wants to be closer to home and play for the best program and coach in the entire country, who are we to not welcome him!?

Yeah I wonder how it would work. Seeing as how schoolies are full this year already.

IF (and I say IF) he comes to WSU, maybe he take the "Baker year" (walk-on/redshirt) while he sits out as a transfer. That would leave hime with 3 years of eligibility left.

I don't think Conner hates Wichita State. But like any other youngsters he will place his self-interest 1st. Most of us do and there is nothing wrong with that. Plus your assuming he would be choosing Creighton over Wichita State. That assumes he even has or will get an offer from Wichita State which is far from a slam dunk assumption at this point. Personally, I think he probably is a better fit in the "let's play horse" system Creighton runs than he would be at WSU.

I believe that because he is transferring at mid-year the most he will have remaining in terms of eligibility would be 2.5 years. If he enrolls at his new school for the 2015 spring semester he will be eligible beginning with the spring semester of 2016. That 2nd semester play will take care of his sophomore year of eligibility leaving him with 2 full years after that.

Technically, I believe he could be a 2014-15, 2015-16, or 2016-17. He takes a 2014-15 schollie if he's given one for this spring. 2015-16 if he gets one at the beginning of the school year or when he's eligible in that spring. 2016-17 if you wait until his first full year when he's a junior.

Sweet-shooting Frankamp transfers out of KU; could Wichita State be next stop?

What if he had a "sick relative" or was "home sick".

Could he get a hardship and be eligible right away?

What school/coach/system could use a 5'11 3-point shooting PG who isn't exceptionally quick or has exceptional handles?

This will sound kind of crazy, but perhaps Frankamp is the guy who could kick-start a resurgence at Drake. He could be a better shooting version of Adam Emmenemenemenekker.

DeCourcy mentioned Butler (as in Indianapolis, not El Dorado). But I agree with the folks here that think Crouton would be a better fit. Second choice, Evansville where he could average either 35ppg or 3ppg depending on whether or not he is THE ONE GUY on the floor that they run EVERY play for. It's so bad at UE that when THE ONE GUY takes a seat on the bench, they just run the offense for 45 seconds and let the clock expire without even shooting.

If he would do that he would go a long ways in earning respect among the fan base.

I don't know but it's a little late for that since he is already said he is leaving due to lack of past and forseeable PT. I suppose you could claim temporary insanity for going to KU in the 1st place.

If KU's team had FVV last season to keep the egos in check from Wiggins and Embiid and also effectively distribute the ball, they would have been a really incredible team, I think. Without a pg, you end up struggling to win a weak Big 12 and losing in the second round despite having two lottery picks. Just shows how lucky we are to have FVV.
Self has made it clear they don't need a PG. He believes all of his guards are as good as any true PG would be.
