Look, no Wichita State player, from that team, stood up for him. There was a, confirmed, players meeting, ran by FVV, where the locker room said they would not play unless he acknowledged what he did and apologized. All the players that transferred out, at the time, got an immediate waiver to play at their new school. Multiple sources confirmed they saw him choke an assistant coach. There were multiple eye-witnesses of him trying to fight an athlete from another sport because they parked in his parking spot.
It can be true that Marshall did all of these things, that the school knew about it and did nothing, and also that all of these events lead to a downward spiral of the program. The players can also credit Marshall with their success, the success of the program, and their personal growth, and still acknowledge that he did something wrong. It is likely that the athletic department knew about all these incidents, didn't do anything about it, and because of that could not fire him without paying him. If there was no evidence that suggested the allegations were true, he would be getting paid his entire buy-out, and not half of it. His attorneys would not have let him agree to that.
All the "were you there!" comments are hilarious because none of us were there. You cannot possibly come to the conclusion that he didn't do it for the same reason that I can't say for certain that he did. But, all evidence points to the fact that he did it, the school didn't do anything about it, and then he refused to take accountability for it.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

All I know for sure is that the program is now in the crapper and I am very doubtful it will ever be great again in my lifetime. I'll wait till the end of the season for a recap/review of PM's failures - I'm sure you all can't wait.

To cool that chair, he's going to have to go out and get something like an AC unit - pun intended. A player with that 'X' factor.

Where did I say I saw anything? What does it matter?
This discussion was about whether Marshall ever apologized. He clearly did not. Baker's whole entire reason for saying something was because Marshall went with the "deny it ever happened" plan.
Neither I nor your low-IQ post changes any of that, nor does it change the fact that the university decided to part ways with Marshall after conducting an investigation. You really think thy would have done that if the investigation was inconclusive or determined that nothing happened?
I guess common sense just isn't common.
it was inconclusive enough that they were still going to keep him upon conditions. It was just a big “woke joke”. But you and Patty can snuggle at Starbucks about that. Meantime, we suffer for it.

Think about that for a while. I mean, really think about it. I know your first instinct is to make another low-IQ insult, because lets face it, that's all you can do. But try this time. Do your best. Let that hamster run in your head. Think about it.
Let's rehash. WSU does an investigation. And your argument is that it turned up zilch. And despite that, WSU forces Marshall out and pays him $8M to do absolutely nothing. Is that really what you think?
How about this? Wouldn't it be far more plausible if WSU knew a lot of this stuff was going on the whole time but did nothing about it. And when the investigation talked to all the players and Ron Banker and Freddy V and turned up what it turned up, WSU knew it couldn't fire Marshall "for cause" because it knew, one way or another, all along. So it told Marshall -- who was still denying anything happened -- he had to go, and the attorneys got together and hashed out a settlement agreement.
