It's fine to lift on gameday if you have a well established routine. I know several basketball players who say they have to get a light lift in pregame to feel "right". Maybe more mental than physical, but don't see how it's a bad thing

In honor of TC. I'll never stop loving this video. Absolutely every single player lost their mind for a split second before snapping back into reality. Just perfect.

Maybe we need to hit the roids like most of the P-5's and find us a troupe of "designated pissers"...
Here's one of my favorite quotes from Johnny B Good (1988)...
"My mother's medicine cabinet
was never like this.
Don't worry about it, Johnny.
You're not in Ashcroft anymore.
We use only the finest
steroids available.
We have only one mind-set
here at UCC...
and that is that
our boys are winners.
- Isn't that right, boys?
- Right!
I love these guys like my own
kids, and because of that...
I take better care of them
than their own mommies do.
- Isn't that right, boys?
- Right!
We have the best
training facilities...
in the country, Johnny,
college or pro.
Our men are appreciated...
for the fine pieces
of machinery that they are.
- What's up, Slick?
- Hey.
Does he play here?
No, he just pisses
for the players...
so they pass their drug tests.
- A designated pisser, huh?
- Yeah.
Let's get you some threads
for the party.
All right.
Lew, how tall are you?
About 5'8“."

For those inquiring about the S&C last year Vs prior. I have no idea what last years was like but I played sports at WSU in the early 2000s. My 3 roomates played another sport at WSU (baseball) and we all worked out around the same time of day for athletics in the weight room. I can tell you that KR workouts were considered very easy; laid back and felt like “a break” from other difficult practices with our head coaches. We all loved him ; but his heart wasn’t into tough workouts anymore by the early 2000s (I assumed he was surely burnt out). None of us bulked up because of him ; the ones I saw bulk up was those who chose to work out extra on their own as much as needed to achieve desired goals. (Well that and roids)Last edited by LetsGoShockers2021; March 31, 2023, 05:56 PM.

I liked Tekele as well but this conversation was about a possible negative correlation between lifting and shooting (which Tekele couldn’t), not lifting and being a badass (which Tekele was).
I think we all need is some good ole fashioned positive recruiting news to get us back on track.
