Zero chance we grab him until all of that is done.
I dunno, our current coach has a recent history of choking too.

Having the gun on the bus was, to my understanding, a violation of team/school rules. But from the view of the legal world, Peake did absolutely nothing illegal and is absolutely, 100% the victim.
I think that's the important distinction that must be made. Legally I don't see any issues for Peake or the basketball program assuming there aren't any obstruction issues. I don't think the analogy with the girl and the dress is particularly comparable to this incident.

If I'm a university president/AD I have some major concerns. Clearly team rules were broken and the breaking of the rules resulted in a deadly gun fight. I'm guessing an AD would be questioning the oversight of the basketball program right now. To my original point of taking Greg off the list of potential next head coaches, I think incident would make him unhireable at least after this season. There are certainly coaches with better resumes out there that don't have shootings hanging over their season.

Lifted this one from the Texas Tech forums: “Sign ideas for the UT games…’The Austin Strangler’”

I've seen no improvement from Ballard. Sorry. He has rock hands and is out of position so much. He can block a few shots though.

This will not end well. Peake was not an innocent victim.
Never said he was innocent. In fact I believe I said he was far from innocent. Thought we were discussing Heier not Peake?

It's pick your poison with Ballard or Pohto. Pohto should be the clear cut favorite but the dude exudes almost no effort when defending or going up for rebounds. Yes he can catch passes and make close shots but he's not getting a lot of looks, or putting himself in position to get looks. On the other hand you have a guy that can stand in the lane and intimidate drivers, block or alter shots and hustle. I kinda think you have to reward hustle and pull him if he starts to become a liability.

If he hadn't had one he may be the one that was killed.
No, I'm not kidding. What would you do in that situation, call timeout and call the police to save you? If your ambushers honored your timeout, the cops still wouldn't make it untill your shot and dead.

Just depends how the situation plays out legally and just how bad it really is.
Things are different in texas.nothing will become of this. Look at Baylor's past issues....nothing.

Which is better than Rojas does. Not near as many turnovers either. More blocks, more rebounds, less turnovers= more possessions. Plus Ballard is about = in the fight category. He's willing to fight to the floor for loose balls. Nice to see from a big.

                              • Neither of these guys seem to have any stamina. It's very noticeable. I thought QB was gonna pass out after going on the floor the other day. Dude did hurt his neck a little, too.

Captain Roger Murdock from Airplane would be proud.
