Who should be Wichita State's Head Coach?

No big deal. But not for what happened prior to team leaving. Police could have held any player they wanted, but if the player was free to leave, then no mistake. The weapon was retreaved, if I understood the facts.
The big big deal is whether this kid or some kids were “thugs” or not. Then you get into recruiting.

but again, Browns not the guy. Ready for him to be gone asap.
He probably didn’t help by having him coming off the bench even if Ricky played more minutes than Joe I think?

Council probably figured out he could do anything he wanted in practice and not get his butt reamed. That kept him out of games because IB played the guy who was worthless, but more disciplined in practice.
Then Council figured out he could do anything he wanted in games and not get benched. He probably noticed that Etienne was getting the same treatment, except Etienne got game time regardless of his practice habits. That whole situation may have had something to do with Dennis' apparent lack of confidence or caring. The moment he got out of Wichita, he became an efficient offensive player.
At that point Council probably figured he was playing for a coach that had no chance to improve his draft status or the teams' performance and realized getting out of Wichita was vital to his NBA hopes.
IB was hopelessly unqualified to handle and discipline players like Etienne and Council. IB seems to have figured some of that out this year, but the damage has been done.
I think both Council and Etienne needed and wanted a coach more interested in making them better instead of making them happy, even if that meant that coach was going to rip them a new one and p*** them off from time to time.

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I'd rather play with an additional 3 in the game than keep a guy in who is a detriment about 40% of the times he touches the ball. We don't really use bigs anyway. They mostly just stay 18ft from the hoop and set poor screens. So what does it matter if you put a traditional 4 in the game or not?
Look at what Longwood did on their offense. They were a thing of beauty when they ran their offense. They have no real bigs, maybe Christmas. While we were scoring I still didn't see a well run offense from us, it resembled a street game offense. That won't work too much.
Imagine our players running Longwood offense. That would get me a Longwood.Last edited by Atxshoxfan; December 11, 2022, 10:24 AM.

This will not end well. Peake was not an innocent victim.
