Would be better if we could all just ****ing move on. It's all irrelevant at this point. But I guess we can make this the 577476425th thread to devolve into bickering about what may or may not have happened with a coach that won't be our coach ever again.

Why don't you do what you do best and just hit the ignore button on everybody and everything that bothers you?

      ... No really, deuces.

        • Hoo wee feels like someone just tossed a lit match into a pile of brush haha

You all need to relax. Pretty sure there’s better things we’re all on the same page about, like the fact we need a new coach and that it should be Ted Lasso

            Shocking.
So you truly think he just completely made up the stories from several assistant coaches and players? Just completely risking his career to make up a fabricated story to bring down a coach he doesn't like.

              Sensationalized each event.

If that's the case, why haven't all of these assistant coaches and players come out and said "hey, this is all bullshit".

The only problem with this is that he is still considered by almost everyone to be the Best Coach in WSU history, and will undoubtedly have a pennant up at some future point. Ralph (yelled, cussed, Drank and Smoked like a fire pit) wasn't any different, and he has one too. Smithson was much the same type of coach. So you can't just erase Gregg from people's memories, no matter how much you try. Whether Gregg punched, or flicked his ear is the issue, and range of possibilities people are troubled about.

Goodwoman knew it was thin, because he never ran with it -- he got scooped and so out of time pressure he simply posted what he had. All he had was a bunch of hearsay from players that never saw Shaq get "punched". He called them witnesses anyway -- which is lying. The players did what kids of that age do ... believe their friend who was alone in the locker room sulking because he got kicked out of practice for being a jerk to his teammate and nearly injuring him.

Goodwoman didn't risk his career, but he did risk a libel suit.

                      So here were HC3GM's choices:

OPTION 1) Sue Goodwoman for ... what, maybe a couple million?

                      This path has these cons:
                      a) Pay attorneys a crap ton of money to fight it out in court, and then
                      b) Pay attorneys another crap ton of the percent of the award, but
                      c) Would Goodwoman even have the money to pay? Nope.

                      The pros?
                      a) Keep your job and have a scarlet S painted on your head
                      b) Get maybe a few hundred thousand out of Goodwoman's business insurance

OPTION 2) Negotiate an exit with the school, and if they don't agree sue their asses off

                      This path has these cons:
                      a) Lose your job for a couple years
                      b) Pay an attorney a reasonable fee to make sure the negotiation is smooth

                      Pros?
                      a) $7.5M FAT CASH from a reliable state entity
                      b) Give hardly a drop of that fat cash to a bunch of attorney leeches

                        • If Ron Baker or Fred VanVleet step up and say, "that never happened," that would have been the end of it. They did not.

You are one funny guy. Your father probably never slapped you upside the head, let alone spank you.
If your a female, I forgive you for being soft, as women generally deal with things a little more tenderly. Where as men use a little more forceful methods to teach their kids right from wrong.
                            So which is it.
Are you a woman or a little cream puff guy?

Ron Baker did admit he never saw anybody get punched. So that's the end of it then, right?

Go listen to the Gottlieb podcast linked above. 36 minute mark. Baker says he did witness many of things in the report and it's pretty obvious he believes shaqs account and says other players did witness it.
