  • Those same UCONN fans are going to be more uspet when they lose by 40 and Marshall calls a timeout so they can all learn their lessons.

Honest question - which program in the AAC is the proper receptacle for all of our collective dislike/hate/angst? The easy answer has to be Tulsa - but I feel like time has made the heart grow fonder and now we have a Bird/Magic-type thing with them. Maybe we should let it happen naturally or just let 3G tell us when he has made his choice.

      • Kimmel says it is not done.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

        • How could the MVC have a meeting and not include WSU unless we had submitted notice? I why would we give notice before receiving an invite?

Jimmy Kimmel's involved in this? That would explain the delay --he's off somewhere writing jokes!

              • Kimmel equals Kunkle, I would assume.

Dude is desperate for attention. Probably enjoys the fact that he is causing emotional discomfort for the naive subset of Shocker fans that follow him.

If you don't mind I will opt out of that collective. Save that for KU, Creighton and Illinois State, et. al. but I for one am going into this with nothing but respect, charity and without the least bit of anxiety towards any of our new conference brothers and sisters. This is a new lease on life. I am ready to leave those negative thoughts behind along with our membership in the Valley.

Of course, that doesn't mean I don't want the Shocks to win every conference game, match or contest in every sport we play but I think I can enjoy winning just as much feeling good about and respecting our conference foes. Perhaps a nasty rivalry will organically develop but I can live without it if it doesn't. A good, healthy, positive rivalry (or several rivalries) works fine for me.

Our membership in the Valley reached the point where it was dragging us down. Looking forward to being helped by a bunch of positve thinking acheivers instead.

My guess is that these meetings have been going on for years without WSU included. Collectively planning against us. /sarcasm /not really.

Wrong. SOMEONE must wear the black-hat - even just for funzies.

UCONN's fans, my mild dislike for the east coast and for some reason I'm not a Calhoun guy.

SMU cuz Texans (Just cuz they all love Texas so damn much), Jank and Larry are all easy to dislike.

                      Tulsa has tradition.

Probably same story as the Sunflower:

There’s no news to report on Wichita State leaving for the American Athletic Conference — yet. It’s too early to confirm any reports, Wichita State Athletic Director Darron Boatright said Tuesday. Wichita news outlets cited anonymous sources confirming the leave early Tuesday evening. While the move from the Missouri Valley Conference is considered by many...

Well, exactly. Shocks have been at the top of the national news scroll since Selection Sunday.

                              Well it is the MVC.
