The succeeding article in the Ute paper said that their basketball program had oversigned for next year so it looks like the writing was on the wall for Jordan. His first year of eligibility would be our first year without Murray and Hatch. Maybe we could use a redshirt junior.Livin the dream

With Hannah graduating this year, that frees up his scholarship, which EO now gets. Since Coy chose not to remain on the team, that frees up another scholarship, which can be used for a PG or any other position the coaches feel they need.

If we can get him as a walkon great...if he is worth opening a scholarship for then thats fine as well....
Let me ask...if he is released from Utah is he free to play a pick up game with say some local kids at a local college? Does that violate NCAA rules at all if they are not organized practices persay? Maybe it would give us an idea what this kid can bring to the table and what hes learned over the last 2 years if anything....
I was initially one that thought we would have EO and a Juco point guard as the new blood...I am starting to lean toward at least one and maybe 2 spots opening up....Is Marshall out recruiting for next year or for 2012? Or both.
why has there be no news of player post season interviews/evaluations yet? Is it because Marshall is not ready to do them yet or has he just been busy striking while the iron is hot?1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

I believe they havent been done yet ...and I think that is somewhat odd. Only 2 reasons for that...
1. HCGM has been busy out of town recruiting....
2. Someone is going and we want commitments to fill those vancancies or vacancy.
Im leaning for option 21/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... Seems to me that the announcements of a player leaving always come shortly after the post seaons banquets. As far back as Jay Lewis (1999-2000), Maurice Evans, Adam Liberty, Sean Ogirri, Ryan Bradley etc. They all announced after the banquet which is scheduled for April 15 this year.
I notice this because I always attend the banquet and wish the players well in the year to come, then see they're gone shortly afterward.

The athletic department surely has more important things to do than put out a press release about transfers. I would also suspect there is some consideration afforded to the player(s) to have it publicized at the right time.
And who's to say that a final decision is made after the meeting? Don't be so quick to assume that the player comes in and is immediately told he does not have a scholarship next year.
Take a step back and don't be so quick to make assumptions. It sounds an awful lot like you (whoever you are, I'm not pointing fingers) are eager to hear someone is not returning.
We'll hear something (if anything is to be heard) at the appropriate time.

Hines
According to Utah's website, Hines is a redshirt freshman this year, which means that a transfer directly to a D-1 school is unlikely (because he'll have to sit a year that he doesn't get back, inasmuch as he's already redshirted).
Most likely a juco candidate this coming year, I'd think.

Because of Utah's defections they are out beating the bushes. We are in competition with them for at least three recruits: Rogers, Watkins and Ragland. In the fast lane
