He keeps the dribble low, which is excellent, but sometimes it looks too low as if he doesn't really have control. But, he does have control. What the heck am I talking about. Anyway. Sometimes the dribble looks awkward. But it works. Love me some AR.
Are the Patriots in charge of the basketballs too???

Frankcamp is decent, but Reaves has the chance to be a shocker legend. If it was up to me I would invest as much as I can into developing him. He should be the first guard off the bench behind Shamet and Smith imo.
Smith shot well last night, but not a lot else. He just fumbled the ball away on two (consecutive?) possessions.

He is currently leading the team in assists and steals. He has a way to go, but I think he's our best PG.

According to KenPom's statistical data base the tallest team in the country is UCF at 79.3" in average height. If my math is correct and if the Shockers played that team for all 40 minutes I believe it would be the tallest team in the country at 79.6"

          Landry Shamet 76
          Austin Reaves 77
          Markis McDuffie 80
          Darral Willis 81
          Asborn Midtgaard 84
          cumulative " 398
          average height " 79.6

          • And UCF is kind of cheating with Tacko Fall.

Yeah, one 7'6" guy kind of skews the entire team's average height just a tad. Haha.

              • I love that he is ball faking on passes. I predict that very soon, he is gonna give a ball fake and an opposing team's player is gonna look utterly stupid falling for it and we are gonna make gifs out of it and it will become lore for generations to come.

The last guy that I remember ball faking with success was Sasha Radunovich.

                • Re-watched last night's game and one of the things that stuck out to me while Austin was on the bench was the fact that nearly 100% of the time one of our guys attempted a 3, Austin was the first to stand up in anticipation to celebrate his teammates (sometimes it didn't go in). Little thing, I know, but I kept seeing it over and over again. I've seen it in other games too. I love this kid.

I've noticed this as well. He is to the Shockers what Ron Baker is to the Knicks in that regard. Only difference is he's better coached and used more effectively than Ron is at this point in time.

Baker is the same way in the NBA. Players like FVV, Baker, and Austin are pure team players whether on the floor or awaiting to sub into the game.
