      #8-Seed Projected, up one seed

Now playing #9-Seed Syracuse (we flipped spots with Syracuse compared to last week)

      Has us headed to Tulsa.

P.S. Kansas is the #1-seed in the same region.

That would not be The Rug's preferred combination of seedings. No need to become Mark Few 2.0.

If that Round of 32 matchup happens, I have a feeling that it would be the signature game of Conner's career...good or bad. He'll either go off for 30, or he'll go 0-6 from the field.

Perhaps. But I'm thinking no one will remember his 0-6 given Reaves buzzer beater from 3 to send us to the sweet sixteen.

I dunno, I think i"m coming around to accept that Conner is just a step too slow and too short to be anything other than an 8-10 PPG role player. I'm not disappointed in his play, I just think we have other guys to fill the scoring role we thought he might provide.

We may or may not ever find out, but I would wager he won't be close to 30 and I doubt he will go 0-6 fron the field although that possibility is more likely than the former.

And there is nothing wrong with that. He can be a valuable member of the team in that role and provide 3G with some flexibility filling in at both the 1 and the 2. Conner deserves some credit for expanding his game defensively and as a point guard. So far this year Conner is averaging 5.9 PPG, 2.7 APG and only 0.7 turnovers per game. He has been adequate defensively for the most part. That's not terrible and if we could squeeze 1 more basket and 1 more assist out him on average I would be quite satisfied with that.

A solid player. I am glad he's here. The Rivals ranking of 45 nationally just shows that they are guessing.

CF is a very valuable player. He has accepted the role GM has given him
and aside from not shooting as well as we all know he can has played very
well. His shooting will improve - I think we all know that. He sees the
floor and seldom turns the ball over. We won't have many close games that
are still in doubt with five minutes to go but I'd bet when we do he will be
                      on the floor.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:

Conner is unique because he shows better flashes of brilliance shooting in practice than any other player on the roster. Sure, his shooting in games has been remarkably consistent, and consistently meh. The argument is not that he lacks the sample size in games to judge him as only an ok "in-game" shooter. The argument is that he is such a freakishly good shooter outside of games, and has been such for such a long time, that there is a hope that one day, things click and he brings that ability onto the court for games.

And I say this as someone who is generally disappointed in what Connor has shown to date.

I've been very impressed with his defense. Way better than I expected. He's surprised a few players by grabbing lazy over his head passes and had a couple pretty good blocks. He's more athletic than people give him credit for.

Has anyone else noticed that when Conner shoots from well behind the line (4'+) he seems to make a very high percentage of those shots? When he is right up on the line he misses much more often.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Yep. I've yelled out loud several times, "he's too close"
