big 12 and sec is what we want. pac 12 and acc is what we don't want.

If we get an 8/9 seed, it would be "nice" to have a rematch vs Arizona (ranked #22 in KenPom). I'm sure their fans would love seeing an underseeded Wichita State again.

I think a drop to 11 would be the dream scenario for us at this point. Then we're playing an overrated P5 team or someone like St Mary's. We can blow by those types of teams.

My 2nd choice would be playing in the 8/9 game IF we can get in Gonzaga's or KU's bracket, because I think we match-up well against both of those teams. I'd like to avoid Villanova or UNCs regions. I do not want to play either of those teams.

If we're a 7/10, then we might play a hot Kentucky, Duke or Arizona team in the 2nd round. No thanks. Maybe Arizona, but they might have some extra incentive to actually play defense against us thanks to last year.

But, if we're hot from deep, and Shaq does Shaq stuff down low, we can compete with, and beat, anyone.

Rescinding my earlier pick of a Wichita-Creighton 8-9 game. Creighton played themselves into a 7 in the Big East tournament. Meanwhile, Wichita will be an 8 paired with Dayton or VCU with the winner playing a strong 1-seed in its own backyard in the second round. Thus, the committee will seek to wipe out 2 of the strongest non-P6's before the second weekend.

I really hope CBS and the NCAA has taken care of this in future. There is something special, despite all the commercials and such, about the bracket reveal. Last year it was ruined before half of the bracket was revealed.
