I expect more success next year mainly because I've watched Gregg Marshall the past nine years and believe in what he's doing. We're losing players we've become very attached to but we are not losing the architect. When does fall practice start? Let's go Shocks.

I think Morris is the on-court leader next year. He started showing signs of that, and he's the guy that VanVleet seems to have spent the mosty effort with. I'm picking Shamet for the on-court floor general. That guy's got handles, moves and appeared to have some solid BBIQ.
I'm not seeing Frankamp as a PG other than to fill some minutes. He's got handles, and he makes good passes. He just doesn't seem to have PG mentality. If he was to be the PG next year, you'd think that instead of pulling an AA out of position, Marshall would have used Frankamp at PG instead of Baker when FVV needed a breather.
Out of total uneducated and uninformed speculation, I'll take Shamet at PG. Shamet has handles, passes well, sees the court, and seems to have a bit of a fearless streak. Later in the season, Smith takes over if he and Shamet would be a more effective combinatuion in the back court.
We'll know more about the PG situation in a month or so. If Taylor transfers, then Shamet or Frankamp is likely to be the PG until Smith gets up to speed.
If Taylor stays, he's got a shot at PG. Taylor hasn't shown the BBIQ required of a Marshall PG, but he is extremely quick and was a Frankamp-like shooter in HS. I haven't checked stats real close, but it seems that Frankamp and Taylor had similar stats in their Fr campaigns, with the exception of Frankamp's exceptional lack of TOs.
I think everybody comes back and Reaves ends up at Sunrise. That's probably wrong because everybody coming back never happens. I'd hate to see either Taylor or Hamilton leave. Those guys have so much upside that I think either one would be the best player we've lost in the Marshall era.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

If we lose anyone I think it will be Taylor. There are a lot of guys fighting for guard minutes. But I'm not even sure that he will leave. I think the story of this season is lack of guards who can give Ron and Fred some rest. Keeping some guards around to give the starting guys some rest would be a good idea.
Plus, we are losing 5 guys. I'm sure we will have enough scholarships.

Anyone recall hearing about next year's schedule? I know we play in Battle4Atlantis. I am recalling hearing about St. Louis (hopefully last one...especially with new coach coming at SLU), Tulsa, and South Dakota State at home. We will go to Colorado State as part of the MWC/MVC Challenge and will also play OU in OKC. Anyone remember hearing about other matchups?78-65

The kid that goes from knuckehead, combating with coach to vocal team leader. He has the personality for it as well.
My next guess would be Markis or Landry. (Dark horse canidate: Peyton Allen)The Assman

He needs to get smarter BBIQ wise. He has the skills and speed to turn a good position even better. The Assman
