Okay Crazy, if you insist but wouldn't it be easier just to change your screen name. BTW, I don't necessarily disagree about Brett. He may well have a shot at contributing but the sample size I have to work with is exceedingly small having only seen him play in last October's Shocker Madness scrimmage. So perhaps you aren't the only one that needs to change their screen name. You can be Crazy1 and I will be Crazy2. I will take Patsy Cline as my walk up music.

Why? I don't know how people watch him play and think he can't play point. He puts the ball in the right spot and on time more than any other player we have. He has next level handles....

Agreed, just hope he is less timid next year

My best guess at a starting 5 and first reserves:
            PG - Frankamp - Smith
            SG - Shamet - Allen/Frankamp
            SF - Brown - Allen/McDuffie
            PF - McDuffie - Kelly
            C - Shaq - Willis

Looks like a Valley-winning lineup to me.

It might be that in general when Fred went out it was Baker that ran point. But I do think he did show a good ability to pass to the open guy and didn't turn the ball over much so you could be correct.

Regarding All American stuff, some pretty special stuff has to happen for those type of accolades to come to WSU. We were fortunate to go to a Final 4 and follow it up with an undefeated season. That put a big national spotlight on Fred, Cle and Ron. As they say, to the victors go the spoils. Not saying McDuff or others won't win a lot of individual awards, but some pretty special stuff has to happen for "All-American" nods to come back our way. Fred had a great sophomore year, but neither he nor Ron really put up great numbers last year or this year. Our program isn't designed to have scoring freaks and we don't have guys playing in the national spotlight like Duke, UNC, KU, Kentucky, etc. For McDuff or anyone else to get AA accolades, they're going to have to carry our team to some pretty special heights.

Brett is a smart player and is very well liked. He will get some time at the 5. He shoots well for big and is working on a jump hook that is hard to block.

Something kind of fun to think about, who is our future media darling? Baker/VanVleet have carried us in that department with a little Cle sprinkled in. I think Frankamp is the obvious pick. Shaq certainly has a media darling personality. McDuff will be up there soon.

I think it's McDuffie. He's just likeable, and plays hard.

Ron was the back up point guard for three years. I don't think coach was willing to change that up. I also think it was a huge mistake. Ron and CF would have both benefited from the adjustment. I rationalized the approach by assuming that HCGM was thinking about the future for both players. Ron needs to show he can run a team and CF has to learn how to play without the ball to maximize his ceiling.

I am 100% confident that CF was the second best point guard on this year's squad. I don't see anybody being better next year, but I may be underestimating a few of the other guys.

Nah. The other schools are really bringing the lumber. That's good enough for 6th.
