To each his own, but there isn't an amount of money that would get me into that place if that's the marketing pics they want to circulate.

There's no way the structural integrity of their couches (or likely, the building itself) could support both me and one of those dancers.

This isn't directed at this quote, but I think a lot of you don't realize how NYC works and how pro athletes live. This isn't Kansas where everything closes at 2am. People do stuff all night because things are open all night.

          Here's how I see it:

Cle had a game at home against the Pistons that night. Probably didn't leave the arena until midnight and didn't get home until 12:30 or so thanks to NYC traffic. Met up with his girlfriend/called Uber and left for the strip club. Probably got there at 1:30am. Highly probable he didn't have much of a practice today thanks to them not playing until Friday so being there until 4:30am wasn't a big deal.

Should he have gone to a ghetto strip club? Maybe not,I wouldn't have, but I'm not going to judge a man for doing what he wants to do. This isn't communist Russia.

He still shouldn't have been assaulted and shot so no matter why he was there, it wasn't his fault.

I don't think anybody would argue with anything you said, except that most of us don't know how NYC works. I think most people here have partied til the Sun came up in one big city or another at some point. Not all, but most probably have.

Any Internet thread with a bunch of people sanctimoniously condemning everyone else's sanctimony is a winner in my book.

Your book must be pretty thick. How many threads are there on Shockernet? If it's over 10,000, you better have more than one per page.

I condemn this response you're way too sanctimonious for my book. :)

I find it hilarious that in a city that doesn't trust you with more than 24 oz of soda in your hand, you can get lap dances and booze at practically all hours of the day.

Glad Cle is doing better and hope the asswipes get caught and after they are convicted, New York: Incarcerate Angry!!

I don't think those that said "nothing good happens after midnight" have. If so, then they expect more out of a 24 year old than themselves.

I remember my first trip to "the city" when I was 24. I was there with a bunch of party kids from the Jersey Shore. I was told to wear black pants, my slick new dark greys weren't appropriate and we went shopping for new pants before the outing. I arrived in the city with my "crew" at 11:30. We waited for 45 minutes to get into the club in this back alley and sure enough, they refused entrance to someone wearing grey pants.

In 2001 it was $25.00 to walk in the door...6 floors of club with different music on each level. 10000 people dancing with glow sticks and popping ecstasy. Winged transvestites, ravers, professional dancers and strippers everywhere. $8 for a beer, $12 for a mixed drink. We left at 4:30 and missed some famous DJ that was performing live from 5-6. Some of my friends stayed till they closed at 6 and the. Went to an after hours club until 9. CRAZY!

Bangkok, London, Frankfurt, Rome, Moscow, Kuwait City, Stockholm (Oh, Stockholm how I miss thee!), and NYC, to name a few places I have watched the sunrise after an all-night soiree. I am certain Pogo and others have rather an extensive list of "big city" benders. Now, I go to bed early only to wake up early, because I am old enough that I wake early regardless of my bed time.
