2015-16 Media love thread

Hyperbole post. Ok...I've now watched the Shockers play pick up games three times this year. In 2013 I predicted (not on this site, but to several friends) that our Shocks "should" reach the final four. I have a prediction.........Coach Marshall & our Shockers: "I think you are going to start dominating the power five conferences for the next several years". It might even get to the point that the rules will have to change to keep the P5 conferences up to speed with our Shockers.

IMO Marshall is going to demonstrate in the coming years that a college basketball program built on recruitment of quality players committed to actually graduating from the university (rather than the one and done strategies currently followed by UK, KU and Duke) will move to the top of the NCAA Basketball World and stay there as long as the coach implementing such a long term strategy remains at the school.

IMO this year's Shocker team will be outstanding and I think next year's team has the potential to be even better given the improved athletic skills of the players constituting the evolving Shocker roster.

it's already started with the "no timeouts from the sideline at live play" ruling something or other. like the timeout hcgm called against ku?- i think that is no more. self must have cried and cried to his cronies. no matter.. marshall will adjust. i think self should steer well clear of marshall, because marshall eventually, quickly, would figure him out and go something crazy like 8-3 vs him. hell, we SHOULD do a 2 for 1 lawrence to wichita! maybe even 3 to 1! who cares?! -> marshall would eventually do him like he does the valley. <-

nothing against bill self, who is a great coach. awesome communicator.. the best. but gregg marshall is the cutting edge. whatever conference he is in would be like what you see today. he is the modern day henry iba.. he will go down as such.

Another undefeated season going into the NCAA's would kind of be over the top. That would pretty much cement WSU as not just a national power, but an elite national power. W's over ND, Xavier, and Utah would silence a few (but not many) of the "who did they play" group.

I read the article several hours ago, so I may have forgotten, but I don't remember them having ND as one of their top 20 teams.

I like how Darius Carter is part of a team's weakness, a questionable front-court, when talking about a team one year, but a 'standout' that will be hard to replace when they start to preview the next year.

Can't have it both ways folks. Either we were better than you said last year because Carter was a standout, or we'll be better this year because we've upgraded.
