I just saw the segment with Lunardi from yesterday's game. Lunardi stated that if one of the two teams won out for the rest of the season (winning yesterday and Arch Madness) that they would probably be a 4 seed. I stronly disagree with this, especially from the WSU perspective, since we have a slightly better resume than UNI.

If we do win the MVC tournament I would like to see someone put together a list of 12 schools that have a better resume than Wichita State. At that point we would have a Top 10 RPI, Top 10 Ranking, 30-3 record and a 3-2 record against the Top 50 with the only two losses coming on the road to top 20 teams.

And a 9-3 record vs. the Top 100, with no losses outside that range.

Agreed. Re-watched part of the game today and saw that segment. Expected Lunardi to say 3 was possible, even likely, if a WSU or UNI win St Louis. Him saying a 4 was their ceiling was just silly, especially since the teams right in front of them have no guarantees they won't lose another game or two.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!! That's a solid 3 seed if not 2. BUT the non-bcs conference affiliation could rear it's ugly head. We'll see.

I know that I said this before, but I kind of enjoy saying it. Creighton sucks. While we have enjoyed building up a national brand, they have completely fallen off the basketball map into obscurity. I bet their fans really enjoyed gameday yesterday. I can't think of another fan base that deserves this more.

Still really gets me how Seattle is East! Oh for the good ole days of 16 teams in actual geographic locations. No arguments of teams with double-digit losses being on the bubble. Sold the soul of the tournament for $$$. Rant over.

I think we will be a 3 if we win out, 4 if we lose to UNI in the finals and 5 if we are upset before Sunday. Even though, theoretically, it shouldn't matter, I think the FF run and 35-1 season will still resonate with the committee. More so than any affiliation with a P5 conference.

Still a 5 with CBS playing winner of Tulsa/ Davidson play-in. West region with Villanova as the #1 seed.

I agree. They are so worried about butts in seats yet they make it so difficult for all but a few teams to bring their fans. It demonstrates the power of CBS, their $ and their desire for name teams advancing..

Honestly, I'm not as concerned about our seed number but instead of the matchups. A 3 or a 4 is fine by me, I'm more worried about who the 5 or 6 is in our bracket. Last year taught me that.
