According to the recent bracket...Wichita St. would only have played 4 NCAA tourney teams this season as opposed to 6 last season. So weird how some "name" type teams didn't make it this year (Memphis, Seton Hall)

Looking at profile I can see having Baylor as a 3 seed, but WSU should be above Iowa State and Oklahoma for the following reasons.

Non-con SOS
Road record
No bad losses
Overall record

Jesus, this is going to be a long week.

I can't figure out how to post it from my phone, but in the MVC notes article today, Paul interviewed Jerry Palm who was in STL this weekend. Jerry said that we have a 7/8 seed resume. How the hell does Jerry make a living on those kind of stupid ideas???

I'll concede a 6 is possible but hope for a 5. NO EFFING WAY we are a 7 or 8. I would be SHOCKED (no pun intended) if that happens...not because of my Shocker bias but because that's not how I have observed the selection committee to operate in recent years. Gotta bite my tongue for about 170 more hours.

If its a 7 then give us the #7 in Omaha with the #2 Jayhawks in the 2nd round.

Heard some guys on Fox last night saying all we did by losing was eliminate our possibility of a 3 seed, everything else is up in the air, but they still think we are a solid 5 at worst. Lots of B Ball out there this week

13 (4) in Kenpom, 17 (5) in RPI. Best guess is the committee gives us whatever the opposite of benefit of the doubt is and we're a 6.

Am I the only person that is dreading a potential 5 seed? Hell, give me the 6 over 5 in the NCAA.

I don't know about that. I'd like to see the birds win it. We'd have 2 wins against another tourney team, more exposure/money for the conference. We complain about not getting more teams in the dance, now we have a chance and people root against it.

I want UNI for a couple of reasons. First, I despise the Redbirds--their coach and fans. They have some good players and will be good again next year. Second, if UNI loses they face the same outcome as we do...lower seed and less favorable match-ups; leading to the possibility of not going as far in the tournament. Just my opinion.
