A 5 seed is what we deserve.

    We won't be getting a 5 seed.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

    • A six seed in Omaha would be good if Wisc or KU drop to a 3 seed. That'd be fun.

I'll kinda pull for Ill St today. Why? money. Three teams in the dance is better than 2. Wichita St will need money to compete as the schools can start paying players and that isn't going to be cheap. Any extra money that the schools can rake in the better.

      • If we were in line for a 3 seed before the loss we shouldnt drop lower than a 5 but for some reason the same people that said we should be ranked 8th now think we should drop 3 seeds. Meanwhile FU up in Lawrence seems to prove more and more with every loss and retain there no. 2 seed.

If we are that poor we can just have Klein Construction and Flooring sponsor Fred's assists.

There are about 30 teams that deserve a 5 seed. Outside of Kentucky and 6 or 7 others, just throw the next 30 (including WSU) in a hat, because they are all the same team with a chance of making a tourney run to a regional final or being one and done.

            • Additional money doesn't hurt.
3 bids would draw more media attention to the Valley.
UNI losing could possibly drop them below WSU on the S-Curve.

              I'm rooting for ISUr.

                • If I cared too much who wins, I wouldn't be on the road driving home right now.

This is my thing too. It's not that I all the sudden like the Redbirds. It's that part of being a WSU fan is having to deal with the constant "MVC being a lesser conference" thing. I think a lot of MVC fans have a mutual chip on our shoulder over that. This is an opportunity for the Valley to have a great showing. No one is on the bubble. Losing doesn't hurt much. I only feel this way because we already wrapped up the title that matters. St. Louis is cool and all and its huge when you are in the bubble. This is just a straight up opportunity to add a third team and its hard not to get behind that for me as an MVC fan.

It is a long drive and sleeping thru Misery is not a bad thing.

I see it as 6 of one and half a dozen of the other...I don't like ISU's coach or fans, but their team has some nice talent. That said, if ISU wins, UNI drops lower in the seedings (as will WSU) and the chances of favorable match-ups and a longer run are jeopardized by the lower seeding. Yes, we get three teams in which will result in more exposure and money, but at what cost?

                            • ISUr being a 13 seed and losing by double digits in the first round does nothing to help the perception of the conference. If Wyoming wins the MWC tournament and gets embarrassed in the first round is that going to impact your perception of the MWC? I might laugh at the fact that SDSU managed to lose to them. That's it.

                              • You guys are a very interesting case. The Paper isn't there but the talent / eye test is. Anywhere from 5-7 seed is in play in my estimation and I tend to do pretty good at this thing seeing as I have outscored the great Jerry Palm ever year except once since 2006 and he is the guy getting paid to do this all I do is get paid to play fantasy football as I am just a novice bracketolgy guy.

We will have to see how those 4-9 seed potential teams play out this next week to see if any fall below you or any move above you. There seems to be a pretty distant separation once you get past the end of the 6 and early 7 seeds so I doubt you would drop below a 7 even with the lack of paper (IE lack of top 50 wins / teams in the field that are at large caliber teams not auto bids).

I would like to see you guys as a 7 if they put Kansas as a 2 in your region. If Kansas is a 3 then let you guys be in the 6.
