    • Another time out. No killer instinct on this team.

If they can get back in and then win the right games to stay there or close (getting votes) through MVC play, it would do wonders for them and the league. How great would it be to have a two or three bid league again? I still think even Evansville has a shot, but it's a long shot.

              • Good win for UNI, good win for us. Wonder how many bids the BTen is looking at considering their performance to date.

Indiana beat a ranked Butler team. Otherwise it was a disaster for the Big10. 3-7 on the day.

This was a really important win for the Panthers. It will likely give them their only non-con top 50 win if Iowa can maintain.

I think UNI has set themselves up pretty good. With a competitive MVC run they will get strong consideration. I think their fans will be on the "bad loss" watch.

                      • The benefits of not being Wichita State in the MVC: UNI's SoS will actually improve from playing their MVC schedule.

                        • UNI is back to being good for a couple of reasons....experience and defense. They lean on 4 seniors (Tuttle, Singleton, Mitchell and Buss) plus 4th year juniors, Washspun, Jesperson and Bohannon. That's a lot of experience right there. But even more than that, they're back to playing really good team defense.

Clearly the #2 team in conference and a legit tourney contender than no one outside of Kentucky will want to play.

Big year for the Panthers. Losing those 4 really limits their advantages and some athleticism next year and it's almost certain they take a step back, maybe a big one.

UNI almost definitely takes a step back, but only Evansville looks to be capable of jumping them. Lohaus and Koch should make a big step forward next year, but I'm doubtful it will be enough.

                            • Must have been some of those "good losses" by the MVC today. Conference rpi moved up from 11 to 9 - and that was before UNI's game was over. MVC is still #9. The Uni game moved the Valley closer to #8 than to $10.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

                              • Losing Tuttle will be big. The others not so much. Think juco Jake.
