I watched most of the second half and that was some bad basketball. They were playing out George Strait's hit, "Give it Away".

Shall we add Josh Pastner to the list of coaches on their farewell tour?
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

        • Oklahoma up 3 at Texas Tech just now with 7.7 seconds left fouls so they don't get a 3 point shot up...the Texas Tech guy missed the 1st FT so still down 3 missed the 2nd FT on purpose they got the tip back for an offensive rebound right to the 3 point line and he hit a 3 pointer to tie the game. Too bad TT didn't make the 1st FT and that was the game winner.

Memphis would have to have some very spoiled fans for that.

This will likely be the first season Pastner's had less than 24 wins at Memphis. And ultimately he's only playing three upper-classmen averaging more than 4 ppg. Which is a negative for Pastner as much as anything else, but still, he's got a sophomore-dominated team. They lost seven of their top 11 players from last season. Six of his top nine scorers are SO/FR. He's returning everyone next year. Memphis will be fine.

                • Iowa State completes a road sweep this week, beating Texas 85-77. Pretty good chance the Clones leap us next week in the polls as a result.

Meanwhile, Louisville eeked out a win against Miami at the Yum Center on the heels of a double digit loss at Syracuse. We will jump the Cardinals for sure with a win tomorrow.

Probably treading water in terms of the rankings at this point. Arizona has a tough home against an ascendant UCLA team tonight, and Utah has a difficult game at Oregon tomorrow afternoon.

                    • With the UNI win today, a win by the good guys tomorrow will guarantee that the #1 seed at Arch Madness will be on the line next Saturday.

Just curious. Is there a big difference between the #1 and #2 seed in St. Louis? What's the prize?

                          An MVC Championship banner.

Not really. #1 Seed gets the 8/9 winner, #2 seed gets the 7/10 winner. The #1 seed also gets to play the early games Friday and Saturday, theoretically giving them about 6 hours more rest than the #2 seed.

Not necessarily. You can get an MVC Championship banner as a #2 seed. Say we win tomorrow and lose at Indiana State then beat UNI. The Shocks and UNI would both get to hang MVC Regular Season Championship banners as co-champs (that is assuming UNI also wins its game against Evansville on Wednesday). However, one will be the #1 seed and one the #2 seed based on a tiebreaker.

Seeding for the Valley Tournament has no impact on who the regular season Valley Champion is.

Thanks @Cdizzle:. Not much difference in quality of opponent. 6 hours more rest at this time of year is probably of some value. Of course, my preference is that we just win the regular season outright and render any tiebreaker's at the top irrelevant.
