NCAA darlings are supposed to be one thing and one thing only -- cute stories during the NCAA tournament that fade back into oblivious right afterwards.

I do think it's weird that I don't remember as much negativity towards Butler or VCU recently. Maybe because they never got this high during the season.

I'm still bothered by the attacks on Gonzaga, too. They were the second best team we played in the NCAA tournament, only behind Louisville. Ohio State were the "frauds," IMO. They got further in the tournament, but I have zero doubt Gonzaga would have beaten them and La Salle.

At some point, one has to value wins at least as much as metrics.

Consider: WSU is currently 3-0 vs. the RPI Top50. Not enough games against the RPI Top50 for you? Would 5 games be better? If WSU had lost to InSU, WSU would be 4-1 against the RPI Top50 and we would have a "better" idea of where this team stands. Does that really make WSU a better team?

Speaking of assholes allow me to beat the dead horse of how horrible Jeff ******* is. 6-9 on his recently posted Power Rankings lost between his votes yet WSU still 10.

I'm wondering if he literally won't change his mind at this point. KU has 6 ****ing losses. 6. 6! Villanova got SMOKED at home and yet no problem. I've been saying for a few weeks that he is just holding it there so if there is a slip up he can say told you so and if there isn't he will just ignore it.

I should just ignore him but it pisses me off ... every week.

I think I gained some insight -- "Still a bit of a mystery to me" -- so he is just stupid. His job is a college basketball analyst and a team that is 25-0 is still a mystery to him?
Could you imagine if one of the NFL guys on ESPN said a 8-0 team was "still a mystery" to him?
