You're just choosing an arbitrary fact that has no basis on anything. They have four games against top 50 RPI teams coming up. They've played one so far, against the #2 team in the country. They don't suck because they lost on the road to the #2 team in the country. Zero wins against the top 50 as an ACC team doesn't mean anything when they've only played the #2 team in the country on the road as their only top 50 game.

As for not losing yet ... so the moment we lose one game, we suck because we haven't played anyone?

These pollsters better freakin' treat this Villanova game as an epic beatdown. If you lose by 40 you don't deserve to be in the Top 25, period, let alone doing so against an unranked team. Creighton almost did the same thing to us last year, in Omaha and we lost by 12. It's one thing to catch Creighton on a night like this just be unable to stop them, but you should at least be able to score on that joke of a defense.

I don't think Pitt has near the amount of challenges we have in putting together a challenging schedule. I don't respect Jankovich-Illinois State type programs who inflated themselves with gaudy records simply because they play garbage teams. We've at least TRIED to play people. And we have way better wins than anything Pitt has assembled.

Agreed, but back to this year, I still think they're garbage. And I'm sticking to it until they play and beat somebody worth a damn.

Looking at pollstalker, more than half of the voters have ranked us ahead of Nova. It's the few jackasses that still have us at 9th and 10th that are the problem.

It definitely is. 35 voters had WSU ranked #4 or better, 16 had the Shocks ranked #5, 7 had the Shocks #6, 2 had them #7, and then there were the ugly 5: 3 had them #9 and 2 had them #10.

The worst part is that those last 5 voters are the ones that made the difference. The other 60 voters had WSU and Villanova just 1 or 2 votes apart. Those last 5 guys had an average of over 5 spaces between WSU and Nova all to the bad. They each had Nova 5 or 6 spots higher than WSU. The total difference between WSU and Villanova amongst those 5 voters was -26. That made up for the +17 that the other 60 voters had given WSU.
