What's the difference between a Mercedes on the SMU campus and a cactus?
The cactus has the pricks on the outside. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Unless you are talking G Wagon."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

If the Pac-4 stay together and somehow poach from the AAC we have to pray they take the Navy/WSU combo. Luckily, Navy has such a strong brand that I doubt they get left behind.
That being said, I think the AAC has two things working in its favor in terms of being the aggressor:
1) ESPN seems to want the AAC to add schools.
2) The AAC's media deal can provide western schools with higher payouts than the MWC and primetime exposure in eastern time zones.
Even if Stanford/Cal end up in one of the P4 conference I could see the AAC making a pitch to collect the Oregon State and Washington State with an eye towards adding MWC schools in a couple years.
