Originally posted by Mr.Kevin View PostAs a ROckford native and a relative of Fred's, I can guarantee that you're going to love having him with your program. It pains me to say that too as I'm an Indiana State grad! He's a kid with a great head on his shoulders and does NOT get rattled during games. Wait until that first time you see him and think..."he's not that quick" but then he's blowing by people on his way to the basket. I still scratch my head at how he does it. Rest assured he will be your starter as a freshman and he will be a leader from day 1...you guys got a good one.
You should understand that there are some WSU/KU and WSU/K State fans on this board. They would view FVV as the #1 H.S. recruit in the Valley this year, which he clearly is the consensus, with a bronx cheer.. they wanna do the jerk off thing in the air. They hope he's really slow, like that BS that they've been fed. Watch, here will come some more of them.
The true Wichita State fans know that he was severely underrated, even at that ranking. Don't transfer because of those hicks FVV! Wichita State is where it's at right now.. moving up, still.

Either way, we know he's going to make valuable contributions to this team.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

We've had the number one PG" in U18 EuroBall, who left after his Jr year to go pro in Israel, and we thanked him for leaving, since he was unable to play PG or SG at this level. Then we had what NBA scouts called "the best big man pro prospect" in Africa, who we're hoping can see more than 5 minutes a game this year.
While we have high hopes and high expectations with FVV on board, Fr have to prove themselves at this level before we really jump on the band wagon after some over-hyped players haven't performed anywhere near the level of expectations. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
