Are you saying it is the “wealthy SASO contributors and SASO board members (many of whom a lot of us on Shockernet know) are responsible for initiating and implementing parking lower and mid level benefit reductions such as parking and SASO room? How about regional tournaments that other BCS schools in our region attend on a rotational basis? I sit in the upper middle to lower upper rows of the Roundhouse as a Bold Gold member for multiple Century Club tickets for the family. As far as I know families/couple sit around us. It is almost always full, not so the lower one goes on the seating chart. I remember FHCGM complaining about empty seats, lower bowl empty seats.

Shocker basketball attendance doesn’t have a family attendance problem it has a “wealthy SASO contributor” problem.

Omaha hosts the Geese but I'm guessing Pooh Bear is injured as he's appeared in only 3 games (all starts) out of 8.

7-2 Marquette is at Kansas State tonight. Marquette has a quality win over Illinois but was handled pretty easily by SBU and Wisky.

      Jacksonville State @ VCU
If Grant can keep all of Dayton’s talented freshmen around, they can be really good the next 3-4 years.

Are you saying that having more butts in the lower seats at Koch Arena is more important than increasing the athletic coffers to pay for coaching salaries, athletic scholarships, and other costs to run an athletic program?

As we’ve discussed in other threads, it is becoming less and less worth it as the athletic department doesn’t care about the Shocker faithful who have supported the program and university for generations. It started long before HCIB and was first reflected in the unwillingness to reward the Shocker faithful with the College Basketball Experience in KC.

Winning and winning against quality opponents tend to solve all problems. Corporate whoring or not. Until the athletic department looks in the mirror it will not get any better.
Without whoring to all those corporate interests, we would never have been able to afford to keep Marshall. The inability to successfully whore the athletic department out to corporate interests is why we don't have a football program.

K-State was doing well until they settled for jacking 3's midway through the second half. Those shots weren't falling.

                      Yep, they’re still horrible.

SMU is talented if not consistent. The Ponies shot the ball ridiculously well (52%, 57%, 77%) but that's the way it goes sometimes. SMU was up 10-15 most of the 2nd half until a very late Dayton run cut the lead to 70-67 with 42 seconds left. SMU held on for the 77-69 win. SMU is 8-3.

UNLV shot the ball well tonight, other than FTs, and pretty much dominated a Seattle team that's played an awful schedule. 76-56 final, a 20 point win for the Rebels.

Wyoming hit a jumper 17 seconds into the game then never led again. 16-6 Wildcats at the 1st media TO and Arizona rolled from there. Up 31 at the half, they cruised to an easy 94-65 win. Arizona is 8-0 and Wyoming takes their first loss of the season and is 8-1.

Well IPBC played, had 10 and 8 but the Geese won 78-70.

Kstate had a chance at the buzzer but dropped a 64-63 decision at home to Marquette. Eagles were 1-3 from the line, KSU 7-10. Marquette had 21 assists on 25 baskets.

VCU beat Jacksonville State 66-52. VCU turned over JSU 23-13 and JSU was only 7-16 from the line while VCU was 14-17 from the charity stripe. JSU outrebounded VCU 33-29.

West Virginia beat #15 UCONN 56-53. Shame we didn't beat KSU, a team we're clearly superior to, because any B12 win will be a good one this season. 2-0 would look good.

Evansville got Evansvilled at SEMO 75-73.

UNI remains 1-5 against D1 competition, and they have a win against a ranked team. At large hopes are about 40-60.

They also have Jank, which makes them an inconsistent wild card from night to night.
