On the KWCH 6:00 Sports the new Sports Anchor, Arielle Orsuto, referred to a map showing AAC schools which included San Diego State and another west coast school.

Why didn't you guys tell me?
That chick is an instant channel change for me. She's like the human embodiment of nails on a chalkboard.
KWCH has gone so far downhill I've stopped watching them, and I'm basically a life-long KWCH guy.
Oh... and somebody needs to manage a screen capture of this story. Good grief... the incompetence.
Well, you certainly won't get into the #BIGEAST if you don't respect the capitalization! LOL
On a serious note, congratulations! Your fanbase deserves this. In addition to basketball, think what a great fit the AAC would be for your baseball program. Some great soccer programs there too if you want to start a futbol team.
Have fun leaving Carbondale and Terre Haute behind when you start taking road trips to New Orleans, Memphis, Houston, etc.
Hey I always look forward to eating at the 17th Street Bar and Grill every time I make a trip to see the Shockers play at SIU. But I bet I could find good places to go in those cities too. :subdued:
It'd be exciting until the Big 12 decides to expand again and takes away Houston, SMU, Cincy and UCF.
Then we're back to being in the MVC again and it's us, UCONN and Memphis (Maybe Temple) alone with a bunch of scrub teams.
Let's hope the AAC can somehow slide into the Power 5 conferences and make it a Power 6. Houston, UCF and Navy retaining their levels as a football schools would help that immensely.
Or we could see the collapse of the Big 12 and the better programs being absorbed by the other power conferences. Almost happened a few years ago. Who knows what will happen?
