  • Just need to be healthy and schedule as many P5 teams as possible. Eff the valley.

    • One of the conferences we want to move to just had its 16-2 league champion excluded from the tournament. I would like the Shox to get out of the Valley just as much as the next guy, but that is food for thought.

Yep. Just the disrepect he gets as a top-level (one of the highest paid Division 1 coach) in a crap league run by a commishiner who is more than happy to "fix" things has kinda run its course.

I think Elgin wins this juvenille battle unless a new conference invites us like quick.
Leaving the Valley, either with us or without us? Yeah, had the same worry.

How many years in a row have you said this same exact thing now? Going on 9?

                Two points:

                1) Just a couple of years ago, that conference had a higher RPI than some P5s I believe. They had an incredibly down year as they are getting use to life after Utah and BYU, but they still have a number of quality schools.

                2) They would have been better as a conference had WSU been a part of it (maybe enough to have had 3 bids) and would be in the future. This could be good food for thought on their part.

Agree 100%, and if you told me tomorrow that WSU was leaving for the Mountain West, I would be thrilled. Clearly it was a down year for the MWC. I just found it interesting that a team with a 16-2 record from that league got left out.

The MWC is also less likely to be effected by any potential Big 12 expansion than the AAC.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

                    • Would the valley even have had a top 100 team without Wsu propping up every other teams RPI

So what are you trying to say?

                            ... No really, deuces.

Surprised this wasn't posted in that other deeply buried thread.
