Is it okay if I call CU mid major though? that just feels really good and I can't stop.

In the context of NCAA tourney success, CU is more worthy of the "low major" term than anything else. Auto bid; sh*t pants; rinse; repeat.

I'm not sure who you are or where your allegiances lie (since we have so many visitors right now) but the comment was primarily referring to the classless fanbase behavior of a certain former MVC school.

I saw this post on the AAC forums. I really like the idea.

"Just for scheduling purposes divisions, but not in standings or seeding.

Really like the idea of an 18 game schedule, 10 against your division, 1 against the opposite, and then average the last 3 years rpi and extra crossovers with your same tier. #1 and 2 RPI west get the extra game against #1 and 2 RPI of the east and so on."

So an off the wall schedule idea long these lines that I had and would be incredibly fun, but never happen. So the last 16 games are the standard 12 team 2 division schedule within home and home in division and cross over once with the other. But here's where it gets weird, but really great. Just before conference play just before New Years in a throwback to the old school Big 8 holiday tournament have an 8 team tournament with full placings to get each team 3 games. The bottom 4 of 12 then just play their own round robin to get their 3 games. You select the teams for the holiday tournament based on some combination of RPI/KenPom in order to reward teams who both schedule up AND perform in the non-conference. This format would ensure that your at-large potential contenders get 3 extra shots at good wins and no risk of bad losses. For final conference standings you can either ignore the first 3 games or not. Schools and conferences would never agree to this, but it would be incredibly interesting.

Just play all 30 games inside your conference. That way, no one can really know how good/bad the conference is.
