Then there's the 3 - 5 years that program would have to play as an FCS school before being eligibile for FBS status.

And that's just to get a program at the level of KU's after 3 - 5 years.

    Still interested?

      • they wouldnt need to do the fcs level if the aac took the football team as a member. conference affiliation is one of the loopholes.

The AAC wants to better their conference, not hand out charity.

Maybe. Anyone want to learn how to count cards, come with me to Vegas, clean out a casino or two, and risk getting caught by the Feds in order to bring back football?

I'm on the fence right now.

Counting cards isn't illegal. If you front the cash and take the risk, I'll join your team.

I'll be honest, I've not traveled to a lot of MVC road games over the years because there is simply very little drawing me to those towns other than the game itself. But in the AAC, every last school...literally ALL of them are in places I would take real family vacations to for reasons other than just the basketball game. It will get a lot more interesting to be traveling for road games.

We even gain two legitimate potential rivalry games that Shocker fans can travel to for very little money. Tulsa, and SMU. Both are closer than anything we've been doing in the MVC. If you contrast Tulsa with Missouri State, it's closer. If you contrast SMU with Drake, it's closer.
I was just telling my fiance this. I never really went to conference road games because the towns sucked. We plan on hitting a couple road games a year for weekend trips in the AAC

Oh god, even you fools think you are getting a big 12 invite? You will fit right in.

I'll volunteer to speak for the group. No we don't think we are getting into the B12.
