or about 4.1% of total revenues.

WSU without any distributions would still be in the black last year by $1,803,529

He said he thought WSU was in the right conference and hoped WSU would see it that way also - but said Bardo has been transparent in that WSU is going to evaluate it's options. He said he thinks WSU has decided that bringing back football is not a good option.

Without going back to see how much each tournament share was worth through the years, using this years # of approximately 1 share = $1.59mil over 6 years; WSU is worth an average of $742,000/yr in NCAA shares over the last 5 years. Any concern of WSU being another 'mouth to feed' in a conference, probably should quit worrying. They will bring their fair share to the table.

WSU has earned a total of 14 shares 2012-2016, or 2.8 shares per season.

I love that Mark has a passion for the Shockers and for the "little guy" (doesn't apply to WSU), but having him commentate EVERY GAME gets tired. Plus, his consent hyperbole gets rather annoying.

I like Mark, but he loses his credibility when he goes overboard. Like saying Jeremy Morgan is a Top 10 college player and comparing him to Lonzo Ball and such.

It was very clear he does and by his tone he is pissed that WSU doesn't also see it his way.
It clear many in the MVC envy WSU basketball program but at the same time think WSU is arrogant and believe we will be back into the abyss sooner rather than later.

I think I posted it somewhere else, but Adams compared Aundre Jackson of Loyola to Adrian Dantley, who played 15 seasons in the NBA and is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. Yeah, he lacks perspective on these matters.

Linked Forbes article on the Shockers' Final Four run explains the potential financial synergy available to the AAC if they expand by adding the Shockers, VCU and Dayton. IMO an expanded AAC would be among the top 3 conferences regards annual invitees to the NCAA Tournament. If the expanded AAC averaged 6 invitees and each of them lost their first game the unit value to the AAC would be $1.5 million this year and $8 million over the next 5 years.

Imagine the revenue the expanded AAC would receive by adding the Shockers and the Shockers then replicating their last 6 year performance in the NCAA tourney.
