A lot of history in this league. Good times and bad times. I would be lying if I said I won't miss some of it. Excited for the future though."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

To be completely fair, I don't find it funny at all. While the other schools (mostly) have forced our hand, we've been in this league forever. I will look forward to the future with wonder and joy, but I will wish the Valley the best and will find no joy in any negatives they suffer.
While I'm giddy as a sixth grade girl for our future, I will genuinely miss the "MVC" chants during the 2006 NCAA, the unsightly defensive slugfests with SIU, the mutual admiration with HCGL's ISUb program, the ESPN GameDay worthy showdown with UNI, and the real honest to God hatred with ISUr's fanbase."It's amazing to watch Ron slide into that open area, Fred will find him and it's straight cash homie."--HCGM

@rjl:
If I had a gun with two bullets and was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and a Creighton fan, I think I'd shoot the Creighton fan twice.

Relegation league. Top half plays each other twice (plus the top team of the bottom half), top half only plays the bottom half once (and it's a home game for the top halfers). One team is promoted, one relegated each season.
I think that might save the sinking ship. Hmmm, I better look at the RPI of the bottom of the top half before I make that claim.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

I think of Gregg as a guy who doesn't forget where he comes from. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he tosses a H/H for the random two years ISUr or UNI peak to give em a chance for a good resume win. I don't expect MVC buy games just because. But I don't wanna get too far ahead, I'll be patient for a press conference announcement soon.

There is a lot of mutual benefit if WSU joins the AAC this fall. WSU could play 4 or more games in the tourney next year if they have a strong enough schedule to get a decent seed. That's something like a $6.4 mill payday for the league. That works out to $500,000 payout per school in the AAC. I'd also think the AAC would want WSU next year for bargaining leverage for their TV rights that expire in 2019.
