Putin will not invade further in Ukraine in the near future.
Perhaps not in the "near" future. That will depend on the world's response

    • Invasion maybe close - supposedly Russian aircraft have started violating Ukraine airspace.

      • So in '38 Hitler signed the Munich Agreement where if he got a small piece of Czechoslovakia (Sudetendland), then there would be no further demands. Sudetendland had a pretty decent sized German-speaking population, and the Czechs didn't have a chance in Hades of preventing it. He was granted that territory, but then half a year later he broke the agreement by invading the entirety of Czechoslovakia (who again, was simply unable to prevent it).

The agreement to allow Hitler to have that piece of territory is looked at upon by historians as a huge blunder as it was the first appeasement to Hitler's Germany and emboldened him into believing that the West would not risk war.

The Ukraine situation is different how?

Been thinking the same thing for several days. All the way down to a Hitler/Putin comparison.

          • Russia has started sending text messages to Ukraine troops to go home, or risk being destroyed.

            • US now has two Global Hawks up over Ukraine providing intelligence. Normally their is only 1 at a time.

It looks like one was just relieving the other (basically going to 24 hour coverage).

Waaaay better for Putin if they give up. (and the Russian artillery will destroy them in a day or two)

But, please tell me again how Trump was bamboozled by everyone on foreign policy.

Biden and Far left say Climate Trumps everything. Who cares if we have double digit inflation (energy a huge part of that besides spending/borrowing), are beholding to energy producers like Russia, and can’t help European democracies who need energy to warm houses and businesses, and are beholding to Russia, etc.

You and several others here are “Students of History”. Although the circumstances aren’t exact, There are parallels for sure. Putin is a tyrant and will revive the Soviet Empire as much as allowed.

If not for Biden’s many mistakes (Biden in June after Russian cyber hackers attacked our pipeline without action warning for Russia not to cyber attack 16 infrastructures, although I guess others ok, then Afghanistan, then several weeks ago Biden green lighting Russian aggression as long as no all out invasion of Ukraine), Russia would have been wary of expansion. Right now, we have 3 very dangerous, and aggressive countries in our world. Two have nuclear weapons (Russia, and China), and one will have nuclear weapons (Iran) shortly. Those 3 countries have extreme designs on changing the world order.

Another major Biden mistake is not keeping America as a fossil fuel leader, which is still a major asset to our foreign policy.

                            • The Axis of Evil that caused WW2 were Germany, Japan, and Italy. The new extreme Axis of Evil could very well be Iran, Russia, and China. The 3 are communicating with and protecting each other. Watch how things progress in the next few years.

                                I am no history scholar.

I am fascinated by WWII and particularly interested in Hitler's rise to power, so I have read up on some aspects of those.
