Bill McGurn writes an article on the fiasco in Afghanistan. He says that Joe Biden wanted to give a speech where he was the conquering (so to speak) victor as President that ended the War in Afghanistan by 9/11. Instead, Biden ensured that the 9/11 motto of “Never Again”, which was the motto established at the World Trade Center will never be owned by the United States. Instead, the Taliban now owns 9/11 as Victory Day,the day when the Taliban defeated America.No different than VJ Day was the day forever known as the day we won the War over Japan.

Notice the picture that goes along with his article, where the Taliban made a picture that mimics the United States Troops, erecting the flag following the bloody battle of Iwo Jima (only the flag they erected was the Taliban flag. The ridicule heaped on the United States military will forever be etched on the minds of terrorists and their recruits. Mark my words. Terrorism will come to American shores again.

How many slaps at the US has that been for these wastes of space? As much as I dislike Biden, the ice cream cone eating towel heads infuriated me. The Iwo Jima pic is beyond that, by thousands. One can't calculate the price we're going to pay over the next lifetime.

If the Taliban takes 20k American citizens hostage, which is what is happening if they aren't letting them leave, why is that not worthy of a formal declaration of war? Especially if some start being killed.

Biden could regain some credibility if he just mobilized the 82nd Airborne and told them to go get our citizens and kill anyone who stands in your way.

What a debacle....

Former 4* General Jack Keane who worked with General Petraeus in Afghanistan said that ALL Americans who are not in Kabul will be left behind unless Biden changes his decision to leave them and mounts missions to rescue them outside the airport, and outside Kabul. They are being left on their own. Gen. Keane was asked about the danger to the troops in Afghanistan, if they mount rescue missions that worries Biden. Gen. Keane said that Biden is, and always has been risk averse. That is who he is. He went on to say that the troops understand that they are in danger, and they will run through “WALLS” to save Americans, and know that any mission is dangerous, and the military never leaves Americans behind. He went on to say that he had never in his career seen a lack of leadership in the face of danger that Biden is showing.
