I'd say it sounds more like they are waiting on Stutz' decision before making airline reservations for a recruit we might not have a scholarship for.

Besides, if he's just now thinking about an official visit, he's probably looking to sign in the spring, which would make sense for a prep school player.

He sounds like a good kid and a player with some potential. If JT doesn't want to play at the level that Gregg Marshall demands, I wonder if Gregg will find someone who will. (This is not to diss JT but I was surprised that GM was so blunt; I don't think Marshall will put up with losing and he'll find players who want to win as much as he does. Could Davis be such a player?)
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I don't think we can judge JT until we see him play. Marshall was just using words as a motivational tool. I'm sure JT will be a good player.

I would guess Stutz is priority numero uno here. After that I'm not sure. It sounds like Kyles is still in the picture. Last update on him had him basically down to two schools with WSU as one of them.

Well, Prince, with Stutz's verbal, do we still want Davis? Does he still want us?

If we do sign one more I don't care where we go with it. This kid sounds alright. I don't know a lot about him. I'd still take Kyles if he wanted to come too.

SULLY'S COLUMN IN SUNDAY'S EAGLE ICLUDES THIS..........

"Not ready -- Basketball recruiting nuts can take a deep breath and relax on the future of Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy center Brandon Davis. He is considering WSU, but will not make a decision until the spring.

"We're always late signers here," coach Fletcher Arritt said.

Davis (6-foot-9, 235 pounds) averaged 13.4 points and 10.4 rebounds last season. He needs to do more to impress Arritt.

"He's an all-right player," Arritt said. "He's got to prove himself. He's a big kid, he just doesn't play hard enough."

That's refreshing to hear from a high school coach. All too often these kids are coddled when what they really need is a kick in the grapes to reach their potential and properly prepare them for D1 ball.

Davis reminds me of Denzell Bowles, and I for one hope that he is here next year if there is room.

We'll have to see. Bowles didn't pan out for aTm like they probably thought, so we'll just wait and see what happens with this current team that would create room for another big.

It's a little early to say he didn't pan out, but he will likely not contribute this year.

It's difficult to contribute when you redshirt. ;-)
