If it is the kid from Rice, I have a feeling he is a stud. Now I know Rice isn't exactly a hotbed of basketball talent but 4 games into his freshman season JW was clearly the most prolific offensive cog on the team.
Not succeeding at Rice, academically, is in and of itself not a big concern (that is one tough school) but I hope the young man realizes that school comes first.
Jasen Williams started in 3 of 6 (7th one listed was exhibition) games played this year. Averaging 10.3 pts a game and shooting 80% from the ft line. Here are his total points in the games he played 7,4,11,13,20,13.
This guy looks to be pretty dang good! Since he left Rice at semester would he be eligible next spring?
I could see where Ellis could RS if they feel comfortable with Stutz and Orupke. I'm pretty sure everyone is comfortable with Hawk and as long as Griz recovers well we may be able to RS Ellis even without bringing in Flowers or Davis or whoever. But it may depend on the arrival of Ehimen and how comfortable Marshall and staff are with two FR centers.
Yes, which fits exactly to Coach's expectation of signing 1-2 more. I think Beckham is Def #1 on wish list. PF being second, and preferable at this stage would be Flowers. He seems pretty set on Big East though. I don't know what to think about Davis, everything is speculation and you figure at this point we would have heard something from somewhere about him being interested.

One of my closest friends in high school had a 96 grade average and Rice rejected him. He was told he could be put on a waiting list, but Rice advised him it was long and many had priority on him.
