So that means he has grown at least 1 inch since this thread was started about 6 months ago. Maybe he can grow 1 more inch by the time school starts in the fall.

They announced him at 6'9" when we went down to watch him play a few weeks ago. I don't know if he is or if they just added a little to his height. I do know that he's a super young man and has a world of talent. Like any high schooler, he has strengths and weaknesses, but any weaknesses he has are teachable and I believe he will be a great student for a staff what knows how to teach.

          • I'm wondering how much he will rise when people like Bosi do their post-season evaluation. While I would not expect a Fred-like rise, I think Shaq is vastly underrated at 2 stars. Especially since his team not only won their HS class in OK, but also because he was picked MVP over Jordan Woodard, a BCS recruit (and I'm sure a 3-star - haven't checked but just ssayin').

It all depends on if anyone has seen him. To go off of just what is out there without watching him may hurt his chances of getting ranked. It may be enough to bump him to 3 stars. What really matters is that coach and many others feel this kid is legit and can come in here and contribute. And perhaps he develops into an absolute force in the paint.

Yes Jordan Woodard is a three star. He has a brother, James. Jordan was always the more highly regarded. James was in the 2012 class and signed with Tulsa where he averaged 11.9ppg for the Golden Hurricane as a freshman.

If he had signed with a BCS program, he'd be a 4 star.

                      • Would be nice to see Shaq get to 6-10 or so before it is all said and done.

According to several on the Oklahoma board he is only 6-6. They have to find reasons why the Sooners didn't offer.

                          • That is the height they have listed on rivals. Hopefully, very old info. http://rivals.yahoo.com/alabama/bask...-Morris-128363

                            • Everything that's been reported this year has been 6'8" or 6'9". I have a hard time believing that he's really only 6'6". And considering the reports about his doctor saying he could reach 6'11" or whatever, it's very possible he's grown in the past 12 months.

                              • My guess is 6'7 with hopes of being a legit 6'8

                                This 6'10 talk is silly.

Durley was a fine valley center at what I thought couldn't have been more than 6'7

Heck whenever I see early next to Carl Hall he looks slightly taller than Carl
