It's always nice to dream, but if WSU gets a sniff at all, it will be a courtesy sniff; just like Perry Ellis. But hey, even getting that will be great for our program...

I am sure we will see Andrew at some of his brother's games, and he will no doubt be impressed with what he sees, and his parents will no doubt listen to HCGM, but if HCGM continues to build the program the way we expect, our bigger (much bigger) concern in 2014 will be retaining HCGM, not recruiting this guy.

I would love to see this type of recruit at WSU, but it's a stretch to think that the #1 recruit would seriously put WSU on the list when his only tie is that his brother played there before him. Make no mistake, HCGM has done wonders and has earned every penny of his salary ever year, and I have no doubt he will continue to raise the bar each and every year. Let's focus on enjoy the best recruiting class we have had in 30 years, and concentrate on the challenges in front of them in 2013.

    GO SHOX!!!

Well said joco...let's enjoy Nick. I'm sure Andrew will be a Shocker fan due to Nick. That's probably going to be as close as Andrew gets to WSU. Many of us here on SN are parents, therefore we understand our children have vastly different needs, wants, desires and dreams. My guess is Andrew has a very different set of criteria to fulfill his dreams...and there is a very good chance it doesn't go through Wichita, Kansas.

The chances of us signing Andrew is probably slim to none, and 'slim' left town. However, there will come a day that the Shocks will sign such a player or two as we become more regular to the Dance. The key to me is that this group of Coaches we now have are not intimidated 'one iota' to at least try where others in the past would feel unworthy. You can't run and hide or you for sure will never get such players here. Two wins and we would have played Kentucky at the Dance who always brings in the elite players. Thus, as we observe our recruits we do sign are getting better and better, this will raise our stock and our team will receive more consistent exposure. Think back and see if you can remember the last time we have had such a solid recruiting class as this one with Nick, FVV, Early, etc? It has been many many moons and it seems to just keep getting better. U like?

my ideal rotation next year would be FVV, Wiggins, Early, Hall and Orupke...but that is if Williams or Armstead anything to say about that?!?

That's just a starting five. I'm not sure about all of the recruits qualifying, the last reports were somewhat promising, I hope they do. This team is just so deep and talented at the guards and wing positions. The only questions might be the post positions. We can always play 4 out 1 in. However our 6'6" to 6'8" wings should be able to defend anything the valley has to throw at them on the inside.

                Nearly anything.

Noel johnson would have had a better career at wsu than he has had at clemson/auburn.

Noel woulda had a better chance dancin' then he at Clemson/Auburn. Those two schools are what the Kentucky's and Duke's eat for breakfast!

I was referring to the following:

                      Shocker basketball
                      Former player family connection
                      Shocker fans' hopes and dreams

                        Ah haha

This thread might last a while (especially after the inevitable Jay Bilas etc etc mention of it next year on national TV, over and over). Some people like RDR might feel it like a poisin ivy rash on their nuts. Ah haha

FVV is coming in as a freshman next year, so I'm not worried about it anyway. 'Watched team-World(led by Andrew Wiggins) defeat team-USA (led by Shabazz Muhammad) last week. If FVV had played for team-USA, they would have won.

But it will be fun to watch the negative nannies next year when Doug Gottlieb brings this exact subject up. Ah haha

Though this isn't what RDR was referring to, we've strayed off topic, and my lack of better judgement to even post on this thread, I must ask why? Even though he played better (couldn't play much worse) over the last few games of this season, his career at BCS bottomfeeders has pretty much been a bust to this point. IMO, he left school #1 because he couldn't beat out the players ahead of him to go to a worse program #2. I'm sure his injury slowed him up, but not that much. For his career, almost 800 minutes worth, he has shot a total of 20 FTs. Even Kyles, who didn't drive to the hole like many wanted to see, shot 45 FT this year in fewer minutes. Cotton had 28 FTs in 316 minutes.

Would he have played ahead of junior Hatch and sophmore Murry at the 3 his freshman year? The next year would have been no better. Would he had forced Kyles to the bench by forcing Murry to the 2 only? Personally, I'm glad we recruited Ben and think we were better off over the last 2 years. I don't think Noel would have been happy camper here. After the fact, I don't mind one bit that he didn't come here.

Andrew's team undefeated in the EYBL.

Session 2 of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League took place this weekend at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, Virginia, with many of the nation's best college coaches taking in the action.

Andrew has a firm hold on his #1 ranking according to Rivals.

From what I've seen on his recruitment, Kentucky will be hard for anyone to beat.

I have no idea if there is any truth in it, but there is fan talk about Andrew reclassifying to 2013.
