He lists "studied at Creighton" and College- "Creighton University" on his facebook page. That is very strange.

Go to page 3 of this thread and you will see its been that way since October when he visited Creighton. I assume he is like me and doesn't know how to change it. I haven't looked at his facebook in months but he still had Creighton as his education well past signing his WSU LOI.

I'm leaning towards agreeing with Aargh. I don't see Hawkins making it to campus now or a couple of years from now. It's a shame, but it is what it is.

At this point, I'm just hoping Uwadiae makes it through the Clearinghouse.

I don't remember exactly what I said. But I did agree with Aargh at this point I don't expect to ever see Teddy in a Shocker uniform. It's looking more and more likely that he'll end up at a JUCO for two years and then will probably end up at Dayton if he's the talent that we think he is. It's a shame as I'd love to see him here, but I don't think it's going to kill us in any way as we have a very strong team and recruiting class even without him. We knew there was a good chance he might not end up here due to academics. I believe school is out for him and there's been no word on him getting the grades/scores he needed or about him being on campus or when he's expected to arrive.

This would be an object lesson in how rumors get started. Someone speculates on the basis of no solid news, someone else reads it and assumes there's some actual news basis for the original post, etc. etc. It may ultimately prove true -- which happens often enough to give rumors credibility with the credulous; all it takes is for the original speculation to end up being right -- but it also may not, which is why skeptics (e.g., moi) say let's wait until we actually know. Surely no one is THAT bored at this point, are we?
